Let A be a compact set in of Hausdorff dimension d. For s ∈ (0,d) the Riesz s-equilibrium measure μ s is the unique Borel probability measure with support in A that minimizes
over all such probability measures. If A is strongly -rectifiable, then μ s converges in the weak-star topology to normalized d-dimensional Hausdorff measure restricted to A as s approaches d from below. The paper focuses on the 1-generated positively graded algebras with non-pure resolutions and mainly discusses a new kind of algebras called(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebras as the generalization of bi-Koszul algebras. An(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebra can be obtained from two periodic algebras with pure resolutions. The generation of the Koszul dual of an(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebra is discussed. Based on it,the notion of strongly(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebras is raised and their homological properties are further discussed.  相似文献

Approximation formulae are suggested for the mean and variance of customers in M/E n /s queues. It is shown that the distributions can be approximated by using the mean and variance to fit Gamma functions. A brief comment on the more general E m /E n /s case is given.  相似文献

For the multi-channel bulk-arrival queue, M x /M/c, Abol'nikov and Kabak independently obtained steady state results. In this paper the results of these authors are extended, corrected and simplified. A number of measures of efficiency are calculated for three cases where the arrival group size has: (i) a constant value, (ii) a geometric distribution, or (iii) a positive Poisson distribution. The paper also shows how to calculate fractiles for both the queue length and the waiting time distribution. Examples of extensive numerical results for certain measures of efficiency are presented in tabular and chart form.  相似文献

The k-uniform s-hypertree G = (V,E) is an s-hypergraph, where 1 ≤ sk - 1; and there exists a host tree T with vertex set V such that each edge of G induces a connected subtree of T. In this paper, some properties of uniform s-hypertrees are establised, as well as the upper and lower bounds on the largest H-eigenvalue of the adjacency tensor of k-uniform s-hypertrees in terms of the maximal degree Δ. Moreover, we also show that the gap between the maximum and the minimum values of the largest H-eigenvalue of k-uniform s-hypertrees is just Θ(Δ s/k ).  相似文献

In this paper we consider rectangular and s-labyrinths. We investigate problems similar to classical ones in the automata theory, namely, the distinguishability of vertices and the labyrinths equivalence. We prove that for the considered class of labyrinths these problems are solvable and estimate the distinguishing word length. For rectangular labyrinths we prove that the isomorphism and equivalence relations coincide.  相似文献

If the removal of at most s vertices in G results in a vertex pancyclic graph, we say G is an s-vertex pancyclic graph. Let G be a simple connected graph that is not a path, cycle or K 1,3. Let l(G) = max{m : G has a divalent path of length m that is not both of length 2 and in a K 3}, where a divalent path in G is a path whose interval vertices have degree two in G. The s-vertex pancyclic index of G, written vp s (G), is the least nonnegative integer m such that L m (G) is s-vertex pancyclic. We show that for a given integer s ≥ 0,

And we improve the bound for essentially 3-edge-connected graphs. The lower bound and whether the upper bound is sharp are also discussed.

This paper considers the solution of a deterministic queueing system. In this system, the single server provides service in bulk with a threshold for the acceptance of customers into service. Analytic results are given for the steady-state probabilities of the number of customers in the system and in the queue for random and pre-arrival epochs. The solution of this system is a prerequisite to a four-point approximation to the model GI/G a,b /1. The paper demonstrates that the solution of such a system is not a trivial problem and can produce interesting results. The graphical solution discussed in the literature requires that the traffic intensity be a rational number. The results so generated may be misleading in practice when a control policy is imposed, even when the probability distributions for the interarrival and service times are both deterministic.  相似文献

(t,m,s)-Nets were defined by Niederreiter [Monatshefte fur Mathematik, Vol. 104 (1987) pp. 273–337], based on earlier work by Sobol’ [Zh. Vychisl Mat. i mat. Fiz, Vol. 7 (1967) pp. 784–802], in the context of quasi-Monte Carlo methods of numerical integration. Formulated in combinatorial/coding theoretic terms a binary linear (mk,m,s)2-net is a family of ks vectors in F2m satisfying certain linear independence conditions (s is the length, m the dimension and k the strength: certain subsets of k vectors must be linearly independent). Helleseth et al. [5] recently constructed (2r−3,2r+2,2r−1)2-nets for every r. This paper investigates the s-energy of (finite and infinite) well separated sequences of spherical designs on the unit sphere S 2. A spherical n-design is a point set on S 2 that gives rise to an equal weight cubature rule which is exact for all spherical polynomials of degree ≤n. The s-energy E s (X) of a point set of m distinct points is the sum of the potential for all pairs of distinct points . A sequence Ξ = {X m } of point sets X m S 2, where X m has the cardinality card(X m )=m, is well separated if for each pair of distinct points , where the constant λ is independent of m and X m . The real rectangular tensors arise from the strong ellipticity condition problem in solid mechanics and the entanglement problem in quantum physics. In this paper, we first study properties of l k,s -singular values of real rectangular tensors. Then, a necessary and sufficient condition for the positive definiteness of partially symmetric rectangular tensors is given. Furthermore, we show that the weak Perron-Frobenius theorem for nonnegative partially symmetric rectangular tensor keeps valid under some new conditions and we prove a maximum property for the largest l k,s -singular values of nonnegative partially symmetric rectangular tensor. Finally, we prove that the largest l k,s -singular value of nonnegative weakly irreducible partially symmetric rectangular tensor is still geometrically simple.  相似文献

The Plotkin bound and the quadratic bound for codes and (t, m, s)-nets can be obtained from the linear programming bound using certain linear and quadratic polynomials, respectively. We consider an M/G/1 queue with the following form of customer impatience: an arriving customer balks or reneges when its virtual waiting time, i.e., the amount of work seen upon arrival, is larger than a certain random patience time. We consider the number of customers in the system, the maximum workload during a busy period, and the length of a busy period. In this note, we find a monomial basis of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\) of G(r,p,n) and show that the Ariki-Koike algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,n}}\) is a free module over \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), using the Gröbner-Shirshov basis theory. For each irreducible representation of \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), we give a polynomial basis consisting of linear combinations of the monomials corresponding to cozy tableaux of a given shape.  相似文献

In this contribution we investigate higher-order loss characteristics for M/G/1/N queueing systems. We focus on the lengths of the loss and non-loss periods as well as on the number of arrivals during these periods. For the analysis, we extend the Markovian state of the queueing system with the time and number of admitted arrivals since the instant where the last loss occurred. By combining transform and matrix techniques, expressions for the various moments of these loss characteristics are found. The approach also yields expressions for the loss probability and the conditional loss probability. Some numerical examples then illustrate our results.  相似文献

We develop an exact closed-form expression for the steady-state availability of a repairable, N-server system in which the ith server contains n i identical, reconfigurable, breakdown-prone units. Our approach, which follows from the Markov chain balance equations and the recursive properties of Hessenberg matrix determinants, is simpler than previously proposed matrix geometric approaches, and can readily be adapted to the availability analysis of more complicated structures. We illustrate this by computing the steady-state availability of a mixed parallel-serial gracefully degrading replicated system.  相似文献
