According to the quality of service (QoS) requirements of differentiated service (DiffServ), a cross-layer resource allocation algorithm for multi-user orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)systems is presented. The constant rate is maintained by adjusting the power dynamically for the voice traffics with high priority, whereas the fairness amongst the data traffics is guaranteed by weighted fairness queued (WFQ) algorithm. The two above-mentioned strategies are used for video traffics to realize variable data rate with the constraint of the minimum rate. Combing all these methods, both the throughput and the fairness are ensured when there are multiple users in the OFDM system. Simulation results indicate the validity of the proposed algorithm, which can work well even if the SNR is less than 0 dB.  相似文献

This article proposes a dynamic subcarrier and power allocation algorithm for multicell orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) downlink system, based on inter-cell interference (ICI) mitigation. Different from other ICI mitigation schemes, which pay little attention to power allocation in the system, the proposed algorithm assigns channels to each user, based on proportional-fair (PF) scheduling and ICI coordination, whereas allocating power is based on link gain distribution and the loading bit based on adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) in base transceiver station (BTS). Simulation results show that the algorithm yields better performance for data services under fast fading.  相似文献

Fast blind subspace channel estimation using circular property of the channel matrix is investigated for space–time block coded (STBC) multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO–OFDM) systems in this paper. The noise subspace computed from the correlation matrix of received signals requires a large number of symbols to converge in the subspace channel estimation. Using the circular property of the channel matrix, we propose both the cyclic repetition method (CRM) and the forward–backward method (FBM) to generate N times of equivalent signals for each STBC–OFDM symbol, respectively, where N is the size of FFT operation. With these equivalent symbols, the proposed CRM, FBM and CRM–FBM (CFBM) channel estimations can perform very well within a few OFDM symbols. The CRM, FBM and CFBM schemes are applicable to the CP-OFDM, ZP-OFDM and VC-OFDM systems, respectively. The identifiability of the subspace channel estimation is investigated that the channel matrix is determined up to two ambiguity matrices. Computer simulations demonstrate that the CRM-based, FBM-based and CFBM-based channel estimations have better performances than the conventional ones.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel dynamic voltage–frequency scaling-aware (DVFS-aware) bandwidth- efficient motion estimation (ME) scheme is presented for mobile application processor (AP) systems. Under volatile operating performance conditions due to the power management mechanism, we model the coding bandwidth (BW) and coding performance for the video processor as a convex function of the working frequency. In this paper, we present a bandwidth–rate–distortion (B–R–D) optimized framework that will guarantee the smallest possible rate–distortion cost among coding BW constraints applied in video coding design. By formulating the coding bandwidth-constrained ME problem as an optimization problem, known convex optimization theory can be applied to yield optimal resource-constrained compression. Using varied CIF (352×288)- and HP (1280×720)-sized video sequences with different motion activities over our proposed DVFS-aware video coding approach, the excellent results in terms of coding performance and coding bandwidth savings are obtained. With negligible quality loss, the proposed scheme under coding BW constraints achieves 45–65% coding BW usage reduction over HD-sized 30 frame/s video coding.  相似文献

A novel low-complexity iterative receiver for coded multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is proposed in this letter. The soft-in soft-out (SISO) detector is simply a parallel interference cancellation (PIC)–maximum ratio combining (MRC) operation. However, system performance would be degraded because of ignoring the existence of the residual interference from other transmit antennas. In our scheme, the log likelihood ratios (LLRs) of encoded bits after channel decoding are multiplied by a constant factor to achieve a performance gain. The constant factor is optimized according to the extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart. Simulation results show that the proposed iterative receiver can significantly improve the system performance and converge to the matched filter bound (MFB) with low computational complexity at high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs).  相似文献

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) using cooperative multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication are effective tools to collect data in several environments. However, how to apply cooperative MIMO in WSN remains a critical challenge, especially in sparse WSN. In this article, a novel clustering scheme is proposed for the application of cooperative MIMO in sparse WSN by extending the traditional low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) protocol. This clustering scheme solves the problem that the cluster heads (CH) cannot find enough secondary cluster heads (SCH), which are used to cooperate and inform multiple-antenna transmitters with CHs. On the basis of this protocol, the overall energy consumption of the networks model is developed, and the optimal number of CHs is obtained. The simulation results show that this protocol is feasible for the sparse WSN. The simulation results also illustrate that this protocol provides significant energy efficiencies, even after allowing for additional overheads.  相似文献

The resource allocation problem on the downlink of a multiuser OFDM-based cognitive radio (CR) system is formulated using a cross-layer (MAC and PHY layers) approach with the aim of satisfying quality of service (QoS) requirements in real-time applications. The number of subchannels available to the CR system is time-varying as a result of the stochastic nature of the activities of the primary users (PUs). The MAC layer QoS requirements are dynamically converted to PHY layer rate requirements; the conversion depends on the delivery status of queued packets as well as the number of available subchannels. Simulation results show that the proposed cross-layer resource allocation algorithm can provide substantial transmit power reductions compared to existing PHY layer and MAC layer solutions designed for multiuser OFDM systems.  相似文献

In the reduced-rank space-time adaptive processing (STAP) methods, especially the principal component (PC) analysis STAP method, a set of dominant eigenvectors must be obtained by singular value decomposition of the space-time covariance matrix. Therefore, it is very difficult to be applied in practical system due to the intense computational complexity. In order to reduce the computational burden, a fast reduced-rank STAP algorithm based on Gram–Schmidt (GS) orthogonalisation is proposed in this article. In the proposed GS-PC STAP method, the clutter subspace is reconstructed by the GS orthogonalisation of training samples. Then, the STAP adaptive weight vector is calculated by orthogonally projecting the quiescent weight vector into clutter subspace, which can hold fast convergence measure of effectiveness (MOE) and require less computational complexity by compared with the conventional PC method. Based on the simulated data and multichannel airborne radar measurements data, the corresponding convergence MOE and the clutter suppression performances are verified in the article.  相似文献

We have demonstrated a low temperature process for a ferroelectric non-volatile random access memory cell based on a one-transistor–one-capacitor (1T1C) structure for application in flexible electronics. The n-channel thin film transistors (TFTs) and ferroelectric capacitors (FeCaps) are fabricated using cadmium sulfide (CdS) as the semiconductor and poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) [P(VDF-TrFE)] copolymer as the ferroelectric material, respectively. The maximum processing temperature for the TFTs is 100 °C and 120 °C for the FeCaps. The TFT shows excellent access control of the FeCap in the 1T1C memory cell, and the stored polarization signals are undisturbed when the TFT is off. The fabricated 1T1C memory cell was also evaluated in a FRAM circuit. The memory window on the bit line was demonstrated as 2.3 V, based on the 1T1C memory cell with a TFT having dimensions of 80 μm/5 μm (W/L) and a FeCap with an area of 0.2 × 10?3 cm2 using a bit line capacitor of 1 nF pre-charged at 17.2 V. The 1T1C memory cell is fabricated using photolithographic processes, allowing the integration with other circuit components for flexible electronics systems.  相似文献

A negative CMOS second generation current conveyor (CMOS CCII–) based on modified dual output CMOS folded cascode operational transconductance amplifier (CMOS DO-OTA) is presented. The proposed folded cascode CMOS DO-OTA with attractive features for high frequency operation such as high output impedance, wide bandwidth, high slew rate, with low power consumption is used in the realisation. The proposed CMOS DO-OTA and CMOS CCII– with high performance parameters can be used in many high frequency applications. The proposed CMOS CCII– achieves 1.37 GHz (?3 dB BW), 1.8 ns settling time, 48 V/μs slew rate, and low power consumption around 3.25 mW for ±2.5 V supply. In this paper, a new Fractional-Order Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Control scheme (FO-LADRC) is proposed to enhance the robustness against loop gain variations of the standard Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) in the case of uncertain integer-order systems. A new filtered Bode’s ideal transfer function (F-BITF) is proposed to be used as a reference model in the design approach of the proposed control scheme to ensure the dynamic behavior of the closed-loop BITF to the controlled system. A Fractional-order Extended State Observer (F-ESO) is used in the proposed FO-LADRC structure to approximate the system to be controlled by a filtered fractional-order integrator. The fractional order of the F-ESO is a design parameter to tune to achieve the desired overshoot of the closed-loop step response. For the tuning of FO-LADRC structure, an analytical method is proposed. The performance of the proposed FO-LADRC and the Chen’s et al. FO-ADRC structures are evaluated thorough numerical simulation, and then validated in practice in the case of a Cart-Pendulum. Both the simulation and the experimental results show that the proposed FO-LADRC is able to achieve the desired dynamics of the F-BITF and guarantee the robustness with respect to the controller gain variation and the system parameter uncertainties. The comparative study conducted also reveals that the proposed control scheme is more robust than that of Chen.  相似文献
