Convergence analysis of the corrected Uzawa algorithmfor symmetric saddle point problems简

For the large sparse saddle point problems, Pan and Li recently proposed in [H. K. Pan, W. Li, Math. Numer. Sinica, 2009, 31（3）： 231-242] a corrected Uzawa algorithm based on a nonlinear Uzawa algorithm with two nonlinear approximate inverses, and gave the detailed convergence analysis. In this paper, we focus on the convergence analysis of this corrected Uzawa algorithm, some inaccuracies in [H. K. Pan, W. Li, Math. Numer. Sinica, 2009, 31（3）： 231-242] are pointed out, and a corrected convergence theorem is presented. A special case of this modified Uzawa algorithm is also discussed.

By presenting a counterexample,the author of paper (ZHAO Li-feng.J.Math.Res.Exposition,2007,27(4): 949–954) declared that some assertions in papers of L Yun-xia,ZHANG Shu-qing (J.Math.Res.Exposition,1999,19(3): 598–600),HE Gan-tong (J.Math.Res.Exposition,2002,22(1): 79–82) and YUAN Hui-ping (J.Math.Res.Exposition,2001,21(3): 464–468) are wrong.In this note,we point out that the counterexample is wrong.Further discussion on these assertions and some related results are also given.

Regularity criteria for Navier-Stokes-Allen-Cahn and related systems

We prove a regularity criterion for the 3D Navier-Stokes-Allen-Cahn system in a bounded smooth domain which improves the result obtained by Y. Li, S. Ding, and M. Huang [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. Ser. B, 2016, 21(5): 1507-1523]. We also present a similar result to the 3D Navier-Stokes-Cahn- Hilliard system.     

Improvement of convergence to steady state solutions of Euler equations with weighted compact nonlinear schemes

The convergence to steady state solutions of the Euler equations for weighted compact nonlinear schemes (WCNS) [Deng X. and Zhang H. (2000), J. Comput. Phys. 165, 22-44 and Zhang S., Jiang S. and Shu C.-W. (2008), J. Comput. Phys. 227, 7294-7321] is studied through numerical tests. Like most other shock capturing schemes, WCNS also suffers from the problem that the residue can not settle down to machine zero for the computation of the steady state solution which contains shock waves but hangs at the truncation error level. In this paper, the techniques studied in [Zhang S. and Shu. C.-W. (2007), J. Sci. Comput. 31, 273-305 and Zhang S., Jiang S and Shu. C.-W. (2011), J. Sci. Comput. 47, 216-238], to improve the convergence to steady state solutions for WENO schemes, are generalized to the WCNS. Detailed numerical studies in one and two dimensional cases are performed. Numerical tests demonstrate the effectiveness of these techniques when applied to WCNS. The residue of various order WCNS can settle down to machine zero for typical cases while the small post-shock oscillations can be removed.

Correction of CT burst array errors in the generalized-lee-RT spaces

In [Jain, S.： Array codes in the generalized-Lee-RT-pseudo-metric （the GLRTP-metric）, to appear in Algebra Colloq.], Jain introduced a new pseudo-metric on the space Matm×s（Zq）, the module space of all m × s matrices with entries from the finite ring Zq, generalized the classical Lee metric [Lee, C. Y.： Some properties of non-binary error correcting codes. IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory, IT-4, 77- 82 （1958）] and array RT-metric [Rosenbloom, M. Y., Tsfasman, M. A.： Codes for m-metric. Prob. Inf. Transm., 33, 45-52 （1997）] and named this pseudo-metric as the Generalized-Lee-RT-Pseudo-Metric （or the GLRTP-Metric）. In this paper, we obtain some lower bounds for two-dimensional array codes correcting CT burst array errors [Jain, S.： CT bursts from classical to array coding. Discrete Math., 308-309, 1489-1499 （2008）] with weight constraints under the GLRTP-metric.
