基于UML活动图的测试场景生成方法研究

本文研究运用统一建模语言(UML)活动图生成测试场景的方法,提出采用McCabe的基路径方法生成测试场景,首先对活动图进行压缩,采用基路径寻找算法找出其中的基本路径,并发活动实例化,替换找出的基本路径,形成完整的路径,据此生成相应的测试场景。文中对UML活动图的语法和语义进行了形式化定义和描述,详细描述了从压缩后的活动图中寻找基本路径的算法,对并发活动进行了约束。该方法所产生的基本路径相对独立,提高了测试效率。

针对传统Web测试用例生成方法因缺少权限性和时序性考虑而产生的误判断问题,提出结合基于统一建模语言(UML)活动图与状态图,根据不同用户权限及交互活动流程分析Web页面链接而生成测试用例的方法。该方法生成含信息元素的扩展状态图,通过对扩展状态图的转换及相应路径的时序重排得到最终具有权限与时序性质的Web链接测试用例。通过实验分析,与缺少权限性和时序性考虑的Web测试用例生成方法相比,该方法有效地避免了测试中的误判断,在测试覆盖率、正确率及测试效率三方面均有明显的优势。实验结果表明,该方法有效地提高了Web测试的测试效率,增强了测试的可靠性与可行性。

如何在确保软件质量的前提下有效缩短上市周期的问题日益显得重要。在实际工作中基于MDT的思路研究出了一种基于模型驱动的自动化测试架构。该架构通过算法直接将UML系统设计模型转换成U2TP测试设计模型,然后由测试设计模型根据测试策略和测试工程方法自动生成测试用例,实现了测试资源重利用和测试活动的前移从而有效缩短了测试周期。

An agent-based data-flow testing approach for Web applications

In recent years, Web applications (WAs) have grown so quickly that they have already become crucial to the success of businesses. However, since they are built on Internet and open standard technologies, WAs possess their own unique features, such as dynamic behaviors, heterogeneous representations, and novel data handling mechanisms. These features provide concrete support to the success of WAs, but they bring new challenges to researchers and developers, especially in regard to testing WAs and ensuring their quality. Testing approaches for non-WAs have to be extended to handle these features before they are used in WA testing. This paper presents an agent-based approach to perform data-flow testing of WAs. More precisely, the data-flow testing will be performed by autonomous test agents at the method level, object level, and object cluster level, from low abstraction level to high abstraction level. In the process of the recommended data-flow testing, an agent-based WA testing system (WAT) will automatically generate and coordinate test agents to decompose the task of testing an entire WA into a set of subtasks that can be accomplished by test agents. The test agents, rooted in the Belief–Desire–Intention (BDI) model, cooperate with each other to complete the testing of a WA. An example is used to show the feasibility of the proposed approach.     

System-level functional testing from UML specifications in end-of-production industrial environments

The goal of this research is the study of a methodology to convert design-level specifications of complex embedded systems to system-level functional tests for direct instrumentation; the general context is industrial end-of-production environment (EOP) and the approach uses official and de facto industrial standards (e.g., Unified Modeling Language, UML) and advanced techniques from academic research. The research suggests process guidelines, exploring the generation of the timed test sequences from a UML model, the translation phases, and addressing the problem of timing and environment creation. A case study of a significantly complex application is provided directly from the industrial world thanks to an agreement between Politecnico’s Testgroup and Magneti Marelli Electronic Systems, research and development site of Venaria Reale, an international leader in automotive applications.     

Model driven architecture: Principles and practice

Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is an approach to application modeling and generation that has received a lot of attention in recent months. Championed by the Object Management Group (OMG), many organizations are now looking at the ideas of MDA as a way to organize and manage their application solutions, tool vendors are explicitly referring to their capabilities in terms of MDA compliance, and the MDA lexicon of platform-specific and platform-independent models is now widely referenced in the industry. In spite of this interest and market support, there is little clear guidance on what MDA means, where we are in its evolution, what is possible with todays technology, and how to take advantage of it in practice. This paper addresses that need by providing an analysis of how modeling is used in industry today, the relevance of MDA to todays systems, a classification of MDA tooling support, and examples of its use. The paper concludes with a set of recommendations for how MDA can be successful in practice.
