In this study, (1) change in the concentration of bisphenol A (BPA) leached from polycarbonate (PC) tube to control water (BPA free), seawater and river water at 20 and 37 degrees C as a function of time, (2) the fate of BPA caused by addition of H(2)O(2) and Fe(3+) to seawater containing BPA leached from PC tube were assessed. BPA leached from PC tube to all water samples increased with the ascendant of temperature and with the passage of time. The BPA leaching velocity in seawater was the fastest in three samples (11 ng/day for seawater, 4.8 ng/day for river water 0.8 ng/day for control water at 37 degrees C).BPA leaching velocity from PC tube was significantly high at pH 8 (50 mM Na(2)HPO(4)) and increased dose-dependently. There was no difference in the velocity of BPA among the 50 mM phosphate-buffers at pH 6.5, 7.0 and 7.5. BPA was leached three times higher by addition of Na(+) than K(+). However, the higher the K(+) concentration, the larger the BPA leached from PC tube. Na(+) mixed with PO(4)(-) was effective on BPA leaching from PC tube, but not with SO(4)(-) or Cl(-). The results suggested that BPA leaching from PC tube would be attributed to the concentration of bibasic phosphate such as Na(2)HPO(4) and K(2)HPO(4) in water samples. BPA was degraded in both control water and seawater in the presence of radical oxygen species, but the degradation rate was lower in seawater than in control water, suggesting that anti-oxidative system exists in seawater. Neo-synthesized substance in both control water and seawater in the presence of reactive oxygen species was identified as BPA-quinone by LC-MS.  相似文献

The photochemical oxygenation of 2,5-dimethylfuran (DMF) in water was studied under a variety of reaction conditions employing various humic substances as photosensitizers. As predicted by theory, the reactions at low DMF concentrations were first order with respect to DMF, and the reaction rate constants were directly proportional to the average light intensity and to the concentration of humic substance. The rate of oxygenation photosensitized by the humic matter from a river was independent of hydrogen ion activity in the pH 5 to 9 range. Wavelength studies indicate that oxygenations photosensitized by humic substances are induced by ultraviolet and blue radiation. Rate constants computed for this photosensitized reaction in sunlight were in close agreement with experimental values. Calculations also show that the ratio of the sunlight rate constants to total visible solar irradiance (400 to 700 nm) is approximately constant. Therefore, it may be possible to calibrate rate constants for photosensitized reactions in terms of commonly measured units of visible light intensity such as foot candles.  相似文献

Photochemical degradation of methylparathion (O,O,-dimethyl O-4 nitrophenylphosphorothioate) in the presence of humic acid between pH 2 and 7 was monitored by differential pulse polarography. Humic acid was not electro-active under the experimental conditions used in this study. Only the pesticide and its main degradation product at pH 2 exhibited polarographic signals. Photolysis of methylparathion in acid media was sensitized by humic acid since the pesticide did not degrade in the absence of this compound. Methylparathion degradation in the presence of humic acid was observed at each of the studied pHs. The reaction was first-order with rate constant values ranging from 2 × 10?3 to 6.3 × 10?3 min?1.  相似文献

Humic substances (HSs) can substantially influence velocity of reactions in the environment as shown on example of decarboxylation and alkaline colour (e.g., malachite green and crystal violet) fading reactions. In colour fading and decarboxylation reactions of 6-nitrobenzisoxazole-3-carboxylic acid HS act as inhibitors, but additions of surfactants change the pattern of reaction. The inhibitory activity of HSs much depends on their origin. The velocity of studied reactions depends also on pH, temperature and concentration of HS used. Possible micellar catalysis mechanism has been suggested.  相似文献

Photodegradation of chlorothalonil was studied in different natural waters (sea, river and lake) as well as in distilled water under natural and simulated solar irradiation. The effect of dissolved organic matter (DOM) such as humic and fulvic substances on the photodegradation rate of chlorothalonil was also studied in simulated sunlight. The presence of DOM enhanced the photodegradation of chlorothalonil with the exception of seawater. The kinetics were determined through gas chromatography electron capture detection (GC/ECD) and the photodegradation proceeds via pseudo-first-order reaction in all cases. Half-life ranged from 1 to 48 h. In natural and humic water chlorothalonil photodegradation gave rise to two different intermediates compared to distilled water demonstrating that the transformation of chlorothalonil depend on the constitution of the irradiated media and especially from DOM. The byproducts identified by GC/MS techniques were: chloro-1,3-dicyanobenzene, dichloro-1,3-dicyanobenzene, trichloro-1,3-dicyanobenzene and benzamide.  相似文献

The influence of humic aggregates in water solution upon the chemical stability of carbofuran (CF) and the carbofuran-derivatives, 3-hydroxy-carbofuran (HCF) and 3-keto-carbofuran (KCF), has been investigated in basic media. An inhibition upon the basic hydrolysis of 3-hydroxy-carbofuran and 3-keto-carbofuran (∼1.7 and ∼1.5-fold, respectively) was observed and it was rationalized in terms of the micellar pseudophase model. Nevertheless, non-significant effect upon the carbofuran stability was found in the presence of humic substances. These behaviors have been compared with the corresponding ones in other synthetic colloidal aggregates.  相似文献

Irgarol 1051 (2-methylthio-4-tert-butylamino-6-cyclopropylamino-s-triazine) is a herbicide analogue that is added to antifouling agents used on ships. Our former study on its degradation in sunlight suggested that unknown photosensitizers in natural waters accelerated the photodegradation to the degradation product, M1. In this study, the photodegradation of Irgarol in water was investigated in the presence of some photosensitizers. Test water containing Irgarol or M1, with or without photosensitizers, was irradiated with light from a UV-A fluorescent lamp for 48h. The concentrations of Irgarol and M1 in the test water were determined by HPLC after solid-phase extraction. M1 was more stable than Irgarol when irradiated in the presence of photosensitizers such as acetone, benzophenone, tryptophan, and rose bengal. Hydrogen peroxide (HP) accelerated the photodegradation of Irgarol, and the product M1 was degraded in the presence of more than 100mgl(-1) HP after 10h. Natural humic substances (NHS) also accelerated the photodegradation of Irgarol, but in this case, the product M1 persisted even when Irgarol was completely degraded. Photosensitized degradation of Irgarol by NHS may result in the accumulation of M1 in aquatic environments.  相似文献

In this study, (1) the change in the concentration of bisphenol A (BPA) leached from polycarbonate plastic (PCP) tube to water samples containing phosphate, sodium barbital, glycine, methionine or albumin at 37 degrees C as a function of time, and (2) the degradation rate of BPA leached from PCP tube to amino acid solutions in the presence of radical oxygen species (ROS) were investigated. The BPA leaching velocity (BPA-LV) from PCP tube to 50 mM glycine at pH 6 or 7 was twice that to control water, and the leaching was enhanced above pH 8. At pH 11, BPA-LV was significantly higher in 50 mM glycine and methionine solutions than in 50 mM NaOH. These results indicate that basic pH and amino acids contained in water could accelerate BPA leaching. The BPA-LV in phosphate buffer was different from the BPA-LVs in other buffers (barbital and glycine) at the same pH. BPA leached to the glycine or methionine solutions at pH 11 was degraded time dependently in a similar manner as the control water in the presence of ROS. The degradation of leached BPA was inhibited in the glycine solution, but was accelerated in the methionine solution. However, degradation of BPA added to freshly prepared methionine was inhibited in a similar manner to BPA in glycine. BPA degradation could be influenced by some kinds of amino acids, but glycine and methionine might be involved in BPA degradation in different ways.  相似文献

In this study, (1) change in bisphenol-A (BPA) leached from polycarbonate (PC) tube to water samples at 37 degrees C, (2) effect of reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by Fenton reaction on BPA recovery and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value with or without generally existing environmental substances such as alcohol, lipids and NaCl, were investigated. Amounts of BPA leached from PC tube to water samples containing lipids possessing unsaturated fatty acid with high TBA values were significantly lower than the amount of BPA to water only, and addition of NaCl to lipid containing water further decreased BPA concentration. The result indicates that BPA could be degraded by lipoperoxides formed by auto-oxidation of lipid, and NaCl plays an important role in BPA degradation. In the presence of ROS, BPA recovery was the lowest in water and addition of EtOH increased in both BPA recovery and TBA value, suggesting that EtOH could play a role as scavenger of ROS on the oxidative BPA degradation. Furthermore, the higher the concentration of lipid and/or NaCl, the lower the BPA recovery and TBA value. Physiologically and environmentally important concentrations of NaCl could enhance oxidative degradation of BPA in the presence of ROS.  相似文献

The interactions of a range of actinide elements (Th, U, Np, Pu, Am) with humic substances from the Needle's Eye natural analogue site were studied by gel permeation chromatography. Bulk humic substances were isolated by ammonia extraction, followed by dialysis against distilled water and freeze-drying. The gel permeation results suggest that Needle's Eye humic substances can be fractionated into three incompletely resolved fractions with average molecular weights determined by analytical ultracentrifugation around 49 000 for Fraction 1, around 14 700 for Fraction 2 and around 8000 for Fraction 3. Although there are significant differences between the organic matter elution patterns in individual gel permeation experiments, presumably due to differences in column packing, these are much smaller than the differences between metal ions. The uranium that is naturally present in these humic substances is largely bound in the late-eluting fraction. Spikes of the early actinides, including Np and Pu in controlled valency states, have been added to the humic substances, and gel permeation of the spiked humic substances shows that the three humic fractions vary greatly in their effectiveness and selectivity as ligands for early actinides.  相似文献

Spectral absorption coefficients and fluorescence quantum efficiencies were determined for humic substances from a variety of sources. Specific absorption coefficients kh, for humic substances at wavelengths λ from 300 to 500 nm can be closely described by the relation AeB(450-λ), where A and B are constants. When the kh values are in units of liter (mg organic carbon)?1meter?1 and wavelength λ is in nanometers, mean values of A and B for aquatic humus in the 12 water bodies studied were 0.6±0.3 and 0.014±0.001, respectively. Spectral absorption coefficients of dissolved organic matter in blackwater rivers, of the “yellow substance” in the sea, and of fulvic acids extracted from soils are very similar. Fluorescence quantum yields of humic substances were low and more variable than the absorption coefficients, ranging from 0.0005 to 0.012 with excitation at 350 nm (average of 0.0045±0.0038 for 6 waters). Fluorescence spectra for the humic substances were remarkably similar with maximum emission at 430 to 470 nm. Results of this study can be used to compute photolysis rates of pollutants as a function of depth in natural water bodies.  相似文献

Relative importance of hydrolysis and photolysis of atrazine and its degradation products in aqueous solutions with dissolved humic acids (HA) has been assessed under exposure to sunlight and under UV irradiation. Quantum yield for direct photolysis of atrazine at 254 nm was 0.037 mol photon(-1), the reaction order was 0.8. Atrazine, desethylatrazine and desisopropylatrazine converted to their 2-hydroxy analogs with rate constants 0.02-0.08 min(-1) in clear solutions, while addition of HA (300 mg L(-1)) caused a 10-fold increase in rate constants. Hydroxyatrazine was not degraded. No evidence of photo-Fenton reaction was found. Under exposure to solar light, atrazine, desethylatrazine and desisopropylatrazine were converted to 2-hydroxy analogs only at pH 2 because of acid hydrolysis and possible contribution of photolysis. At lower HA concentration, only their light-shielding effect was noticed, while at higher concentrations, HA-catalysed hydrolysis prevailed. Hydroxyatrazine concentration diminished at all pH values in solutions without HA exposed to sunlight.  相似文献

The chlorination of bisphenol A (BPA) in aqueous media was investigated in order to describe the degradation profile of this compound and the formation of chlorinated products. Aqueous solutions of BPA (approx. 1 mg/l) were chlorinated by sodium hypochlorite solution at room temperature and under weakly alkaline conditions. Chlorinated compounds were extracted with dichloromethane and determined by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). BPA was consumed completely within 5 min of chlorination, when the initial chlorine concentration was 10.24 mg/l (molar ratio to BPA, 58.7). On the other hand, when the initial chlorine concentration was 1.03 mg/l (molar ratio, 6.56), 9.3% of BPA still remained after 60 min chlorination. Five chlorinated BPA congeners, 2-chlorobisphenol A (MCBPA), 2,6-dichlorobisphenol A (2,6-D2CBPA), 2,2'-dichlorobisphenol A (2,2'-D2CBPA), 2,2',6-trichlorobisphenol A (T3CBPA) and 2,2', 6,6'-tetrachlorobisphenol A (T4CBPA) were formed in the earlier stages of chlorination. Several chlorinated phenolic compounds, 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (T3CP), 2,6-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone (D2CBQ), 2,6-dichloro-1,4-hydroquinone (D2CHQ), C9H10Cl2O2, C9H8Cl2O and C10H12Cl2O2, were also formed by further chlorination.  相似文献

The effects of Fe(II), Mn(III) and humic substances on the catalyzed ozonation of alachlor, an endocrine disruptor were investigated. Results revealed that small amounts of Fe(II), Mn(II), and humic substances could enhance the ozonation of alachlor, but larger amounts of them would retard the oxidation. These results were successfully identified by an electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy spin-trapping method that could quantify hydroxyl radicals. The production of hydroxyl radicals was obviously increased with the increasing of Fe(II) concentration, which contributed to enhance ozonation at low concentrations. But the excess Fe(II) consumed some of the radicals when it was added at a higher concentration (1.5 mg/L). However, no obvious radicals were observed when a different amount of Mn(II) was used, and the catalytic ozonation of alachlor by Mn(II) mainly followed the mechanism of "active sites created on the surface of MnO2." The radical pathway was followed when alachlor was ozonated with different concentrations of humic substances because of its radical initiating, promoting, and inhibiting effects.  相似文献

Photodegradation of humic acids in the presence of hydrogen peroxide   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4

A batch photoreactor was used to evaluate the UV/H2O2 oxidation process for the removal of humic acids in water. A 450-W UV lamp with high-pressure mercury vapor was employed as the light source. The residues of humic acids and hydrogen peroxide were measured for assessment of process performance and understanding of process reaction behavior. The UV photolysis alone can play an important role in the degradation of humic acids. The presence of hydrogen peroxide was found to promote the degradation efficiency. However, excessive dosage of H2O2 does not further improve the degradation of humic acids. On the contrary, the lower the H2O2 dosage the higher the amount of humic acids which can be removed. Aeration with air does not favor the removal efficiency of humic acids as the oxidation lasts for a sufficiently long time. The presence of carbonate species deteriorates the humic acids' removal, whereas it results in a larger amount of H2O2 decomposition.  相似文献

The photodegradation of bisphenol A (BPA), a suspected endocrine disruptor (ED), in simulated lake water containing algae, humic acid and Fe3+ ions was investigated. Algae, humic acid and Fe3+ ions enhanced the photodegradation of BPA. Photodegradation efficiency of BPA was 36% after 4h irradiation in the presence of 6.5 x 10(9) cells L(-1) raw Chlorella vulgaris, 4 mg L(-1) humic acid and 20 micromol L(-1) Fe3+. The photodegradation efficiency of BPA was higher in the presence of algae treated with ultrasonic than that without ultrasonic. The photodegradation efficiency of BPA in the water only containing algae treated with ultrasonic was 37% after 4h irradiation. The algae treated with heating can also enhance the photodegradation of BPA. This work helps environmental scientists to understand the photochemical behavior of BPA in lake water.  相似文献
