Direct model reference adaptive control is considered when the plant-model matching conditions are violated due to large changes in the plant or incorrect knowledge of the plant's mathematical structure. Because of the mismatch, the plant can no longer track the original reference model, but may be able to track a modified reference model that still provides satisfactory performance. The proposed approach uses a time-varying ‘adaptive’ reference model that reflects the achievable performance of the changed plant. The approach consists of direct adaptation of state feedback gains for state tracking and simultaneous estimation of the plant-model mismatch. The reference model adapts to the changed plant, and is redesigned if the estimated plant-model mismatch exceeds a bound determined via robust stability and/or performance criteria. The resulting controller offers asymptotic state tracking in the presence of plant-model mismatch as well as matched parameter deviations.  相似文献

The paper considers the control of an unknown linear time-invariant plant using Direct and Indirect Model Reference Adaptive Control. Employing a specific controller structure and the concept of positive realness, adaptive laws are derived using Indirect Control which are identical to those obtained in the case of Direct Control. The stability questions that arise are also shown to be the same. Simulation results using the new scheme are presented for the control of both stable and unstable plants.  相似文献

为解决模糊控制器中规则数目随系统变量呈指数增长的问题,利用分层模糊系统设计了一类非线性系统的直接自适应模糊控制器,并证明了所提出的设计方法不但能保证闭环系统的一致有界性。而且可使跟踪误差收敛到原点的小领域内,通过对倒立摆控制的仿真研究验证了该方法的有效性。  相似文献

In this paper, a direct self‐structured adaptive fuzzy control is introduced for the class of nonlinear systems with unknown dynamic models. Control is accomplished by an adaptive fuzzy system with a fixed number of rules and adaptive membership functions. The reference signal and state errors are used to tune the membership functions and update them instantaneously. The Lyapunov synthesis method is also used to guarantee the stability of the closed loop system. The proposed control scheme is applied to an inverted pendulum and a magnetic levitation system, and its effectiveness is shown via simulation. This paper focuses on adaptive fuzzy tracking control for a class of uncertain single-input /single-output nonlinear strict-feedback systems. Fuzzy logic systems are directly used to approximate unknown and desired control signals and a novel direct adaptive fuzzy tracking controller is constructed via backstepping. The proposed adaptive fuzzy controller guarantees that the output of the closed-loop system converges to a small neighborhood of the reference signal and all the signals in the closed-loop system remain bounded. A main advantage of the proposed controller is that it contains only one adaptive parameter that needs to be updated online. Finally, an example is used to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, the issue concerning model‐based adaptive control for a differentially driven wheeled mobile robot is addressed. By choosing state variables directly related to its speeds (linear and angular), the robot's dynamic model becomes simple with good properties. The controller takes account of the robot dynamics and the coupling between the motions of two wheels, and thus achieves better speed tracking than commonly used model‐free PID controller does. The effectiveness of the model free controllers (mostly PID) in some situations is also discussed. This paper focuses on the problem of direct adaptive fuzzy control for nonlinear strict-feedback systems with time-varying delays. Based on the Razumikhin function approach, a novel adaptive fuzzy controller is designed. The proposed controller guarantees that the system output converges to a small neighborhood of the reference signal and all the signals in the closed-loop system remain bounded. Different from the existing adaptive fuzzy control methodology, the fuzzy logic systems are used to model the desired but unknown control signals rather than the unknown nonlinear functions in the systems. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive fuzzy control scheme called model reference adaptive fuzzy control (MRAFC). The MRAFC scheme employs a reference model to provide closed-loop performance feedback for generating or modifying a fuzzy controller's knowledge base. The MRAFC scheme grew from ideas in conventional model reference adaptive control (MRAC). The MRAFC scheme is developed to perform adaptive feedback linearization to a class of nonlinear systems. A class of fuzzy controllers, which can be expressed in an explicit form, is used as the primary controller. Based on Lyapunov's second method, we have developed MRAFC schemes and derived fuzzy rule adaptive laws. Hence, not only the stability of the system can be assured but also the performance, such as the issues of robustness and parameter convergence, of the MRAFC system can be analyzed explicitly. We showed that in the case of no modeling error, the state error converges to zero asymptotically. In the case that persistent excitation is satisfied, we showed that the MRAFC system is asymptotically stable. By considering the periodic signal as reference input signal, we showed that the square wave can make the MRAFC system be persistently excited. The feasibility of applying these techniques has been demonstrated by considering the control of an inverted pendulum in following a reference model response  相似文献

A closed‐loop reformulation of the dual‐mode paradigm affords significant advantages in model‐based predictive control of systems subject to uncertainty and/or disturbances and/or nonlinear dynamics. This paper considers earlier results based on ellipsoidal invariant sets and proposes extensions to the output feedback nonlinear case by defining invariant sets both for the system state and the error dynamics of a nonlinear observer. This article presents a direct adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of uncertain continuous-time multi-input multi-output nonlinear (MIMO) dynamic systems. Within this scheme, fuzzy systems are employed to approximate an unknown ideal controller that can achieve control objectives. The adjustable parameters of the used fuzzy systems are updated using a gradient descent algorithm that is designed to minimize the error between the unknown ideal controller and the fuzzy controller. The stability analysis of the closed-loop system is performed using a Lyapunov approach. In particular, it is shown that the tracking errors are bounded and converge to a neighborhood of the origin. Simulations performed on a two-link robot manipulator illustrate the approach and exhibit its performance.  相似文献
