Nanocrystalline In2O3-SnO2 thick films were fabricated using the screen-printing technique and their responses toward low concentrations of H2S in air (2-150 ppm) were tested at 28-150 °C. The amount of In2O3-loading was varied from 0 to 9 wt.% of SnO2 and superb sensing performance was observed for the sensor loaded with 7 wt.% In2O3, which might be attributed to the decreased crystallite size as well as porous microstructure caused by the addition of In2O3 to SnO2 without structural modification. The interfacial barriers between In2O3 and SnO2 might be another major factor. Typically, the response of 7 wt.% In2O3-loaded SnO2 sensor toward 100 ppm of H2S was 1481 at room temperature and 1921 at optimal operating temperature (40 °C) respectively, and showed fast and recoverable response with good reproducibility when operated at 70 °C, which are highly attractive for the practical application in low-temperature H2S detection.  相似文献

Composite nanofibers consisting of Mn2O3 and TiO2 were prepared by the electrospinning process, and tested as Gram-class-independent antibacterial agent and photocatalyst for organic pollutants degradation. Initially, electrospinning of a sol–gel consisting of titanium isopropoxide, manganese acetate tetrahydrate and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) was used to produce hybrid polymeric nanofibers. Calcination of the obtained nanofibers in air at 650 °C led to produce good morphology Mn2O3/TiO2 nanofibers. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were employed to characterize the as-spun nanofibers and the calcined product. X-ray powder diffractometry (XRD) analysis was also used to characterize the chemical composition and the crystallographic structure of the sintered nanofibers. The antibacterial activity of Mn2O3/TiO2 nanofibers against Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria was investigated by calculating the minimum inhibitory concentration after treatment with the nanofibers. Investigations revealed that the lowest concentration of Mn2O3/TiO2 nanofibers solution inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29231 and Escherichia coli ATCC 52922 strains is 0.4 and 0.8 μg/ml, respectively. Incorporation of Mn2O3 significantly improved the photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) dye under the visible light irradiation due to enhancing rutile phase formation in the TiO2 nanofibers matrix.  相似文献

Pure and Ni-doped ZnO nanofibers were synthesized using the electrospinning method. The morphology, crystal structure and optical properties of the nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, respectively. It is found that Ni doping does not change the morphology and crystal structures of the nanofibers, and the ultraviolet emissions of ZnO nanofibers present red shift with increasing Ni doping concentration. C2H2 sensing properties of the sensors based on the nanofibers were investigated. The results show that the C2H2 sensing properties of ZnO nanofibers are effectively improved by Ni doping, and 5 at% Ni-doped ZnO nanofibers exhibit a maximum sensitivity to C2H2 gas.  相似文献

LiMn2O4 spinel cathode materials were coated with 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 wt.% CeO2 by a polymeric process, followed by calcination at 850 °C for 6 h in air. The surface-coated LiMn2O4 cathode materials were physically characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron microscopy (XPS). XRD patterns of CeO2-coated LiMn2O4 revealed that the coating did not affect the crystal structure or the Fd3m space group of the cathode materials compared to uncoated LiMn2O4. The surface morphology and particle agglomeration were investigated using SEM, TEM image showed a compact coating layer on the surface of the core materials that had average thickness of about 20 nm. The XPS data illustrated that the CeO2 completely coated the surface of the LiMn2O4 core cathode materials. The galvanostatic charge and discharge of the uncoated and CeO2-coated LiMn2O4 cathode materials were measured in the potential range of 3.0-4.5 V (0.5 C rate) at 30 °C and 60 °C. Among them, the 1.0 wt.% of CeO2-coated spinel LiMn2O4 cathode satisfies the structural stability, high reversible capacity and excellent electrochemical performances of rechargeable lithium batteries.  相似文献

In this work, Ni(OH)2 nanoplates grown on the Cu substrate were synthesized and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Then a novel Cu-Ni(OH)2 modified glass carbon electrode (Cu-Ni(OH)2/GCE) was fabricated and evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and typical amperometric response (i-t) method. Exhilaratingly, the Cu-Ni(OH)2/GCE shows significant electrocatalytic activity toward the reduction of H2O2. At an applied potential of −0.1 V, the sensor produces an ultrahigh sensitivity of 408.1 μA mM−1 with a low detection limit of 1.5 μM (S/N = 3). The response time of the proposed electrode was less than 5 s. What's more, the proposed sensor displays excellent selectivity, good stability, and satisfying repeatability.  相似文献

Sr3Al2O6 was synthesized via citric acid precursor. The effects of the molar ratio of citric acid to total metal cations concentration (CA/M) on the formation of Sr3Al2O6 were investigated. Increasing the CA/M promoted the formation of Sr3Al2O6. Single-phase and well-crystallized Sr3Al2O6 was obtained from the CA/M = 1, CA/M = 2 and CA/M = 4 precursor at temperature 1200 °C, 1100 °C and 900 °C, respectively. Differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric (DTA/TG), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) were used to characterize the precursors and the derived oxide powders. Sr3Al2O6 nanoparticles with a diameter of about 50-70 nm were obtained.  相似文献

Bismuth oxide in δ-phase is a well-known high oxygen ion conductor and can be used as an electrolyte for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs). 5-10 mol% Ta2O5 are doped into Bi2O3 to stabilize δ-phase by solid state reaction process. One Bi2O3 sample (7.5TSB) was stabilized by 7.5 mol% Ta2O5 and exhibited single phase δ-Bi2O3-like (type I) phase. Thermo-mechanical analyzer (TMA), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), AC impedance and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) were used to characterize the properties. The results showed that holding at 800-850 °C for 1 h was the appropriate sintering conditions to get dense samples. Obvious conductivity degradation phenomenon was obtained by 1000 h long-term treatment at 650 °C due to the formation of α-Bi2O3 phase and Bi3TaO7, and 〈1 1 1〉 vacancy ordering in Bi3TaO7 structure.  相似文献

Co3O4/RuO2·xH2O composites with various Ru content (molar content of Ru = 5%, 10%, 20%, 50%) were synthesized by one-step co-precipitation method. The precursors were prepared via adjusting pH of the mixed aqueous solutions of Co(NO3)2·6H2O and RuCl3·0.5H2O by using Pluronic123 as a soft template. For the composite with molar ratio of Co:Ru = 1:1 annealed at 200 °C, Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) results indicated that the composite showed mesoporous structure, and the specific surface area of the composite was as high as 107 m2 g−1. The electrochemical performances of these composites were measured in 1 M KOH electrolyte. Compared with the composite prepared without template, the composite with P123 exhibited a higher specific capacitance. When the molar content of Ru was rising, the specific capacitance of the composites increased significantly. It was also observed that the crystalline structures as well as the electrochemical activities were strongly dependent on the annealing temperature. A capacitance of 642 F/g was obtained for the composite (Co:Ru = 1:1) annealed at 150 °C. Meanwhile, the composites also exhibited good cycle stability. Besides, the morphologies and textural characteristic of the samples were also investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM).  相似文献

This work demonstrates that iron-enriched natural zeolitic volcanic tuff (Paglisa deposit, Cluj county, Transilvania, Romania) resulting from a previous use as adsorbent in wastewater treatment can be recycled into effective electrode modifier applied to the electrocatalytic detection of hydrogen peroxide. After physico-chemical characterization of tuff samples using various techniques such as chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, BET analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the electrochemical response of the iron-enriched zeolites was studied on the basis of solid carbon paste electrodes modified with these samples. The results indicate that iron centers in the zeolite are electroactive and that they act as electrocatalysts in the voltammetric and amperometric detection of H2O2. Best performance was achieved in phosphate buffer at pH 7, showing a sensitivity of 0.57 mA M−1 cm−2, a detection limit down to 60 μM, and a linear domain up to 100 mM H2O2.  相似文献

Iron (III) oxide, Fe2O3, nanoparticles of approximately 40 nm diameter were synthesized by sol–gel method and their nitrogen dioxide adsorption and desorption kinetics were investigated by custom fabricated gas sensor unit. The morphology and crystal structure of Fe2O3 nanoparticles were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) respectively. The roughness of film surface was investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Relative sensitivity of Fe2O3 nanoparticles for NO2 sensor was determined by electrical resistance measurements. Our reproducible experimental results show that Fe2O3 nanoparticles have a great potential for nitrogen dioxide sensing applications operating at a temperature of 200 °C.  相似文献

LiAlxMn2−xO4 samples (x = 0, 0.02, 0.05, 0.08) were synthesized by a polymer-pyrolysis method. The structure and morphology of the LiAlxMn2−xO4 samples calcined at 800 °C for 6 h were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that all samples have high crystallinity, regular octahedral morphology and uniform particle size of 100-300 nm. The electrochemical performances were tested by galvanostatic charge-discharge and cyclic voltammetry. The results demonstrate that the Al-doped LiMn2O4 can be very well cycled at an elevated temperature of 55 °C without severe capacity degradation. In particular, the LiAl0.08Mn1.92O4 sample demonstrates excellent capacity retention of 99.3% after 50 cycles at 55 °C, confirming the greatly enhanced electrochemical stability of LiMn2O4 by a small quantity of Al-doping.  相似文献

A composite of Sc2W3O12/Cu where Sc2W3O12, the core, is coated by the Cu shell was synthesized using simple electroless plating method. As-prepared Sc2W3O12/Cu composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) and thermomechanical analyzer (TMA) techniques. The study results show that the Pd-Sn activator was successfully formed on the surface of Sc2W3O12 after the sensitization and activation. In the electroless plating process, Cu nanocrystals formed firstly, and then grew together to form a continuous coating. Sc2W3O12/Cu core-shell composites exhibit a negative linear coefficient of thermal expansion CTE = −4.47 × 10−6 °C−1 from room temperature to 200 °C.  相似文献

A high-performance LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode was successfully fabricated by a sol-gel coating of CeO2 to the surface of the LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 powder and subsequent heat treatment at 700 °C for 5 h. The surface-modified and pristine LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), slow rate cyclic voltammogram (CV), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Unlike pristine LiNi0.8Co0.2O2, the CeO2-coated LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode exhibits no decrease in its original specific capacity of 182 mAh/g (versus lithium metal) and excellent capacity retention (95% of its initial capacity) between 4.5 and 2.8 V after 55 cycles. The results indicate that the surface treatment should be an effective way to improve the comprehensive properties of the cathode materials for lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

The phenomena of liquid phase sintering in the V2O5 modified (Zr0.8, Sn0.2)TiO4 (ZST) microwave ceramics has been investigated by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS). The amounts of second phase were too low to be detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD), but could be observed by TEM bright field image. However, the presence of grain boundary phases did not degrade the microwave properties of V2O5 modified ZST ceramics. The ?r value of 37.2, Q × f value of 51,000 (at 7 GHz) and τf value of −2.1 ppm/°C were obtained for ZST ceramics with 1 wt% V2O5 addition sintered at 1300 °C.  相似文献

Serrated leaf-like CaTi2O4(OH)2 nanoflake crystals were synthesized via a template-free and surfactant-free hydrothermal process. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The growth process for CaTi2O4(OH)2 nanoflakes was dominated by a crystallization–dissolution–recrystallization growth mechanism. BET analysis showed that CaTi2O4(OH)2 nanoflakes had mesoporous structure with an average pore size of 8.7 nm, and a large surface area of 88.4 m2 g−1. Cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge–discharge tests revealed that the electrode synthesized from CaTi2O4(OH)2 nanoflakes reached specific capacitances of 162 F g−1 at the discharge current of 2 mA cm−2, and also exhibited excellent electrochemical stability.  相似文献

Phase pure V2O3 micro-crystals with a hexagonal dipyramid morphology were fabricated for the first time via a facile one-step hydrothermal method. The crystals were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). A hexagonal dipyramid structure of V2O3 enclosed by well-grown {012} facets was obtained by hydrothermally reducing VO(acac)2 precursor with N2H4·H2O at 220 °C for 48 h. The results indicated that V2O3 can be well crystallized up to micron size with distinguished facets by only one step hydrothermal treatment. The formation mechanism and morphology evolution for V2O3 micro-crystals were discussed. Based on our experiments, the V2O3 nuclei formed and grew by a phase transformation through a dissolution–recrystallization process of VOOH, and the formation of the hexagonal dipyramids was ascribed to the specific adsorption of Hacac to the {012} facets restraining the growth in the directions normal to the {012} facets. The present work provides a facile method for preparing phase pure V2O3 micro-crystals with hexagonal dipyramid morphology, which can be used as a new powder material for ceramic fabrication.  相似文献

In this work, we report high growth rate of nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) films on silicon wafers of 2 inches in diameter using a new growth regime, which employs high power and CH4/H2/N2/O2 plasma using a 5 kW MPCVD system. This is distinct from the commonly used hydrogen-poor Ar/CH4 chemistries for NCD growth. Upon rising microwave power from 2000 W to 3200 W, the growth rate of the NCD films increases from 0.3 to 3.4 μm/h, namely one order of magnitude enhancement on the growth rate was achieved at high microwave power. The morphology, grain size, microstructure, orientation or texture, and crystalline quality of the NCD samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction, and micro-Raman spectroscopy. The combined effect of nitrogen addition, microwave power, and temperature on NCD growth is discussed from the point view of gas phase chemistry and surface reactions.  相似文献

A SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 impregnated TiO2 membrane (TiO2-SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 membrane) was successfully prepared using a sol-gel method in combination with a wet impregnation process. The membrane was subjected to a single gas permeance test using oxygen (O2) and nitrogen (N2). The TiO2 membrane was immersed in the SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 solution, dried and then calcined to affix SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 into the membrane. The effect of the acid/alkoxide (H+/Ti4+) molar ratio of the TiO2 sol on the TiO2 phase transformation was investigated. The optimal molar ratio was found to be 0.5, which resulted in nanoparticles with a mean size of 5.30 nm after calcination at 400 °C. The effect of calcination temperature on the phase transformation of TiO2 and SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 was investigated by varying the calcination temperature from 300 to 500 °C. X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis confirmed that a calcination temperature of 400 °C was preferable for preparing a TiO2-SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 membrane with fully crystallized anatase and SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 phases. The results also showed that polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) were completely removed. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) analysis results showed that a crack-free and relatively dense TiO2 membrane (∼0.75 μm thickness) was created with a multiple dip-coating process and calcination at 400 °C. The gas permeation results show that the TiO2 and TiO2-SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 membranes exhibited high permeances. The TiO2-SrCo0.8Fe0.2O3 membrane developed provided greater O2/N2 selectivity compared to the TiO2 membrane alone.  相似文献

A new solution combustion synthesis of layered LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 involving the reactions of LiNO3, Mn(NO3)2, NiNO3, and glycine as starting materials is reported. TG/DTA studies were performed on the gel-precursor and suggest the formation of the layered LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 at low temperatures. The synthesized material was annealed at various temperatures, viz., 250, 400, 600, and 850 °C, characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and reveals the formation of single phase crystalline LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 at 850 °C. The morphology of the synthesized material has been investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and suggests the formation of sub-micron particles. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) studies on the synthesized LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 powders indicate that the oxidation states of nickel and manganese are +2 and +4, respectively. Electrochemical galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling behavior of Li//LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cell using 1 M LiPF6 in EC/DMC as electrolyte exhibited stable capacities of ∼125 mAh/g in the voltage ranges 2.8-4.3 V and 3.0-4.6 V and is comparable to literature reports using high temperature synthesis route. The capacity remains stable even after 20 cycles. The layered LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 powders synthesized by this novel route have several advantages as compared to its conventional synthesis techniques.  相似文献

Anhydrous proton-conducting inorganic-organic hybrid membranes were prepared by sol-gel process with tetramethoxysilane/methyl-trimethoxysilane/trimethylphosphate and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium-bis (trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide [EMI][TFSI] ionic liquid as precursors. These hybrid membranes were studied with respect to their structural, thermal, proton conductivity, and hydrogen permeability properties. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and 31P, 1H, and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements have shown good chemical stability, and complexation of PO(OCH3)3 with [EMI][TFSI] ionic liquid in the studied hybrid membranes. Thermal analysis including TG and DTA confirmed that the membranes were thermally stable up to 330 °C. Thermal stability of the hybrid membranes was significantly enhanced by the presence of inorganic SiO2 framework and high stability of [TFSI] anion. The effect of [EMI][TFSI] ionic liquid addition on the microstructure of the membranes was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) micrographs and no phase separation at the surfaces of the prepared membranes was observed and also homogeneous distribution of all elements was confirmed. Proton conductivity of all the prepared membranes was measured from −20 °C to 150 °C, and high conductivity of 5.4 × 10−3 S/cm was obtained for 40 wt% [EMI][TFSI] doped 40TMOS-50MTMOS-10PO(OCH3)3 (mol%) hybrid membrane, at 150 °C under anhydrous conditions. The hydrogen permeability was found to decrease from 1.61 × 10−11 to 1.39 × 10−12 mol/cm s Pa for 40 wt% [EMI][TFSI] doped hybrid membrane as the temperature increases from 20 °C to 150 °C. For 40 wt% [EMI][TFSI] doped hybrid membrane, membrane electrode assemblies were prepared and a maximum power density value of 0.22 mW/cm2 at 0.47 mA/cm2 as well as a current density of 0.76 mA/cm2 were obtained at 150 °C under non-humidified conditions when utilized in a H2/O2 fuel cell.  相似文献
