The behavior of two collinear anti-plane shear cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two half spaces is investigated by the Schmidt method. The cracks are vertically to the imerfaces of the piezoelectric layer. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with two pairs of triple integral equations. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. This process is quite different from that adopted previously. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the geometry of the interacting cracks and the piezoelectric constants of the material upon the stress intensity factor of the cracks.  相似文献

In this paper, the interaction between two collinear cracks in piezoelectric materials under anti-plane shear loading was investigated for the impermeable crack face conditions. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with two pairs of triple integral equations. These equations are solved using Schmidt's method. This process is quite different from that adopted previously. This study makes it possible to understand the two collinear cracks interaction in piezoelectric materials. The dynamic response of multiple coplanar interface cracks between two dissimilar piezoelectric strips subjected to mechanical and electrical impacts is investigated. Solutions to two kinds of electric boundary conditions on crack surfaces, i.e. electric impermeable and electric permeable, are obtained. Laplace and Fourier transforms and dislocation density functions are employed to reduce the mixed boundary value problem to Cauchy singular integral equations, which can be solved numerically. The effects of electrical load, geometry criterion of piezoelectric strips, relative location of cracks and material properties on the dynamic energy release rate are examined.  相似文献

The behavior of four parallel symmetry permeable interface cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two half-piezoelectric spaces under anti-plane shear loading is investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of triple integral equations. These equations are solved by the Schmidt method. This process is quite different from that papers adopted previously. The normalized stress and electrical displacement intensity factors are determined for different geometric and property parameters for permeable crack surface conditions. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the geometry of the interacting cracks, the thickness and the materials constants of the piezoelectric layer upon the stress and electric displacement intensity factors of the cracks. It is found that the electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller than the results for the impermeable crack surface conditions.  相似文献

The dynamic interaction of two collinear interface cracks between two dissimilar functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic material strips subjected to the anti-plane shear harmonic stress waves was investigated. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of a pair of triple integral equations in which the unknown variable is jump of displacement across the crack surfaces. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the functionally graded parameter, the circular frequency of the incident waves and the thickness of the strip upon stress, electric displacement and magnetic flux intensity factors of cracks.  相似文献

This study is concerned with the treatment of the dynamic behavior of interacting cracks in a piezoelectric layer bonded to two dissimilar piezoelectric half planes subjected to harmonic anti-plane shear waves. The permeable electric boundary condition is considered. By use of the Fourier transform technique, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations in which the unknown variables are the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces are expanded in two series of Jacobi polynomials. The electromechanical behavior of two pairs of unequal parallel cracks was determined. Numerical examples are provided to show the effects of the geometry of the cracks, the frequency of the incident waves and materials properties upon the dynamic stress intensity factors (DSIFs) and the electric displacement intensity factors.  相似文献

This paper analyses and models the dynamic interaction among permeable multi-cracks in a piezoelectric strip under anti-plane shear waves by the Schmidt method. The Fourier transform is applied and then two pairs of triple integral equations can be solved using the Schmidt method. The results show that the stress and the electric displacement intensity factors of cracks depend on not only the crack length and the piezoelectric coefficient, but also the thickness of the piezoelectric strip, the distance between multi-cracks and the frequency of incident wave.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamic interaction between two collinear cracks in a piezoelectric material plate under anti-plane shear waves is investigated by using the non-local theory for impermeable crack surface conditions. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of triple integral equations. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. This method is more reasonable and more appropriate. Unlike the classical elasticity solution, it is found that no stress and electric displacement singularity is present at the crack tip. The non-local dynamic elastic solutions yield a finite hoop stress at the crack tip, thus allowing for a fracture criterion based on the maximum dynamic stress hypothesis. The dynamic behavior of two parallel symmetric cracks in a piezoelectric strip under harmonic anti-plane shear waves is studied using the Schmidt method for permeable crack surface conditions. The cracks are parallel to the edge of the strip. By means of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations. These equations are solved using the schmidt method. The results show that the stress and the electric displacement intensity factors depend on the geometry of the cracks, the frequency of incident waves, the distance between cracks and the thickness of the strip. In recent years, the functionally graded materials (FGMs) have been widely applied in extremely high temperate environment. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of two collinear cracks in FGM layer bonded to dissimilar half planes under anti-plane shear waves is studied by the Schmidt method. By using the Fourier transform technique, the present problem can be solved with a dual integral equation. These equations are solved using the Schmidt method. The present method is used to illustrate the fundamental behavior of the interacting cracks in FGMs under dynamic loading. Furthermore, the effects of the geometry of the interacting cracks, the shear stress wave velocity of the materials and the frequency of the incident wave on the Dynamic Stress Intensity Factor are investigated.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of two parallel symmetric cracks in functionally graded piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials subjected to harmonic antiplane shear waves is investigated using the Schmidt method. The present problem can be solved using the Fourier transform and the technique of dual integral equations, in which the unknown variables are jumps of displacements across the crack surfaces, not dislocation density functions. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of displacements across the crack surfaces are directly expanded as a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relations among the electric, magnetic flux, and dynamic stress fields near crack tips can be obtained. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the functionally graded parameter, the distance between the two parallel cracks, and the circular frequency of the incident waves upon the stress, electric displacement, and magnetic flux intensity factors at crack tips.  相似文献

In this paper, a constitutive model is proposed for piezoelectric material solids containing distributed cracks. The model is formulated in a framework of continuum damage mechanics using second rank tensors as internal variables. The Helrnhotlz free energy of piezoelectric mate- rials with damage is then expressed as a polynomial including the transformed strains, the electric field vector and the tensorial damage variables by using the integrity bases restricted by the initial orthotropic symmetry of the material. By using the Talreja's tensor valued internal state damage variables as well as the Helrnhotlz free energy of the piezoelectric material, the constitutive relations of piezoelectric materials with damage are derived. The model is applied to a special case of piezoelectric plate with transverse matrix cracks. With the Kirchhoff hypothesis of plate, the free vibration equations of the piezoelectric rectangular plate considering damage is established. By using Galerkin method, the equations are solved. Numerical results show the effect of the damage on the free vibration of the piezoelectric plate under the close-circuit condition, and the present results are compared with those of the three-dimensional theory.  相似文献

The transient response of two coplanar cracks in a piezoelectric ceramic under antiplane mechanical and inplane electric impacting loads is investigated in the present paper. Laplace and Fourier transforms are used to reduce the mixed boundary value problems to Cauchy-type singular integral equations in Laplace transform domain, which are solved numerically. The dynamic stress and electric displacement factors are obtained as the functions of time and geometry parameters. The present study shows that the presence of the dynamic electric field will impede or enhance the propagation of the crack in piezoelectric ceramics at different stages of the dynamic electromechanical load. Moreover, the electromechanical response is greatly affected by the ratio of the space of the cracks and the crack length.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of two parallel symmetry cracks in magneto-electro-elastic composites under harmonic anti-plane shear waves is studied by Schmidt method. By using the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with a pair of dual integral equations in which the unknown variable is the jumps of the displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of the displacements across the crack surface were expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. The relations among the electric filed, the magnetic flux and the stress field were obtained. From the results, it can be obtained that the singular stresses in piezoelectric/piezomagnetic materials carry the same forms as those in a general elastic material for the dynamic anti-plane shear fracture problem. The shielding effect of two parallel cracks was also discussed.  相似文献
