The results of a complex study of the Upper Cretaceous carbonate section in the quarry of the cement plant of the town of Sengilei (Ul’yanovsk district) are presented. The Lower Paleocene cyclic opoka member is described. The formation conditions of the Upper Cretaceous cyclic and cryptocyclic, as well as Lower Paleocene cyclic, rocks are interpreted for the first time on the basis of lithological, petrographic, petromagnetic, geochemical, and paleoecological methods. The cyclicity was formed due to dilution cycles under climate fluctuation and eustatic variations, which were caused by eccentricity cycles of the Earth’s orbit. These cycles are identified in the cryptorhythmic lanceolata sequence of the Lower Maastrichtian rocks.  相似文献

Based on geological data and the geochemical and isotopic (Sr, Nd) parameters of the Devonian volcanic associations of the Minusa basin, the main regularities of volcanism development are considered, the composition of magmatic sources is studied, and the geodynamic mechanisms of their involvement in rifting are reconstructed. The early stage of formation of the Minusa basin was characterized by intense volcanism, which resulted in differentiated and, more seldom, bimodal volcanic complexes composed of pyroclastic rocks and dolerite sills. At the late stage, only terrigenous deposits accumulated in the basin. It has been established that the basites are similar in composition and are intermediate in geochemical characteristics between intraplate rocks (OIB) and continent-marginal ones (IAB). The basites, like OIB, have high contents of all lithophile elements, which is typical of enriched mantle sources, and, like IAB, show negative anomalies of Nb, Ta, Ti, and, to a smaller extent, Rb, Th, Zr, and Hf, selective enrichment in Pb and Ba (and, sometimes, Sr), and a weak REE differentiation (7 < (La/Yb)N < 17). In contrast to the basins in other segments of the Devonian Altai–Sayan rift area, the igneous associations in the Minusa basin are characterized by a worse expressed geochemical inhomogeneity of rocks and lack of high-Ti (> 2 wt.% TiO2) basites. The Sr and Nd isotope compositions of the Minusa basites deviate from the mantle rock series toward the compositions with high radiogenic-strontium and low REE contents. This points to the melting of a mantle substratum (PREMA-type) and carbonate-rich sedimentary rocks, which were probably assimilated by basaltic magma. The correlations between the contents of trace incompatible elements in rocks with SiO2 = 53–77 wt.% testify to the assimilation of crustal substrata by parental basaltic melts and the subsequent differentiation of contaminated magmas (AFC model). We propose a model for the formation of primary melts with the simultaneous participation of magmatic sources of two types: plume and fluid-saturated suprasubductional, localized beneath the active continental margin.  相似文献

Molybdenum exploration activity in China has accelerated tremendously during the past decade owing to the continuous, increasing demand for Earth resources. China possesses the largest Mo reserves in the world (exceeding 19.6 Mt). The major ore deposits are of porphyry, porphyry–skarn, skarn, vein, and sedimentary types. Porphyry molybdenum deposits contain 77.5% of the Chinese Mo reserves, with lesser amounts in porphyry–skarns (13%), skarns (5.1%), and veins (4.4%). Exploitation of sedimentary-type molybdenum deposits thus far has been uneconomical. The six Mo provinces are in the Northeast China, Yanliao, Qinling–Dabie, middle–lower Yangtze River Valley, South China, and Sanjiang areas. We recognize six ore-forming periods: (1) Precambrian (>541 Ma), (2) Palaeozoic (541–250 Ma), (3) Triassic (250–200 Ma), (4) Jurassic–Early Cretaceous (190–135 Ma), (5) Cretaceous (135–90 Ma), and (6) Cenozoic (55–12 Ma). The abundance of Mo ore deposits in China reflects the occurrence of multiple periods of tectonism, involving interactions between the Siberian, North China, Yangtze, India, and Palaeo-Pacific plates. Precambrian molybdenum deposits are related to Mesoproterozoic volcanism in an extensional setting. Palaeozoic Cu–Mo deposits are related to calc-alkaline granitic plutons in an island arc or a continental margin setting. Triassic Mo deposits formed in the syn-collision–postcollision tectonic setting between the Siberian and North China plates and between the North China and Yangzi plates. Jurassic–Early Cretaceous molybdenum deposits formed along the eastern margin of Asia and are associated with the palaeo-Pacific plate-subduction tectonic setting. Cretaceous Mo deposits are related to high-K calc-alkaline granitic rocks and formed in a lithospheric thinning setting. Cenozoic molybdenum deposits formed in a collision setting between the Indian and Eurasian continents and the subsequent extensional setting.  相似文献

Salt-rich soft soils have not only general characteristics of common soft soils, but also contain high contents of Mg2+, Cl?, and SO42?, which have negative effects on deep mixing method using cement to treat soft soils. Laboratory and field tests were conducted to investigate the effects of changing cement incorporating ratio, water content, cement mixing ratio, and contents of Mg2+, Cl?, and SO42? on the unconfined compressive strength of the salt-rich soil–cement. The microstructure of soil–cement and the mechanism for the strength change of salt-rich soil–cement were investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), and backscattered diffraction technology. It was found that an increase of cement incorporating ratio enhanced the strength of soil–cement but reduced its strength when water is added. Different amounts of Mg2+, Cl?, and SO42? not only caused the difference in the microstructures of salt-rich soil–cement but also influenced the soil–cement strength.  相似文献

The chemical and isotopic characteristics (oxygen, hydrogen, and strontium) of spring waters and isotopic compositions of helium (He) and neon (Ne) in gases escaping from spring waters in the Lanping–Simao Basin are studied. A total of twenty-one spring water samples (twelve hot springs, four cold springs, and five saline springs) and eleven gas samples were collected from the study area, including one spring and one gas sample from northern Laos. It is found that saline spring waters in the study area are of chloride type, cold spring waters are of carbonate type or sulfate type, and hot spring waters are of various types. High total dissolved solids levels in saline springs are significantly related to Upper Cretaceous–Paleocene salt-bearing strata. On the basis of hydrochemical geothermometry, the reservoir temperatures (Tr) for hot springs, cold springs, and saline springs are 65.5–144.1, 37.8–64.4, and 65.1–109.0 °C, respectively, and the circulation depths of saline springs are much larger than those of hot and cold springs. The oxygen and hydrogen isotopic compositions of springs in the Lanping–Simao Basin and northern Laos are primarily controlled by meteoric waters with obvious latitude and altitude effects, and are also influenced by δ18O exchange to some extent. Most Sr2+ in spring waters of the study area is derived from varied sources (carbonate, evaporite, and silicate mineral dissolution), and the Sr isotopic compositions are greatly influenced by volcanic rocks. Wide distribution of crust-derived He in the Lanping–Simao Basin and northern Laos reveal that faults in these areas may not descend to the upper mantle. It is concluded that water circulation in the study area may be limited above the upper mantle, while saline springs may originate from the Upper Cretaceous–Paleocene evaporites. Hydrochemical characteristics demonstrate affinities among the Lanping–Simao Basin, northern Laos, and Yanjing, eastern Tibet, while disaffinities are observed between these areas and Tengchong on the basis of the hydrochemical characteristics and noble gas isotopic compositions.  相似文献

Taihu Basin is one of the most developed and industrialized regions in China. In the last two decades, rapid development of economy as well as an increase in population has resulted in an increase of pollutants produced and discharged into rivers and lakes. Much more attention has been paid on the serious water pollution problems due to high frequency of algal blooming. The dataset, obtained during the period 2001–2002 from the Water Resources Protection Bureau of the Taihu Basin, consisted of eight physicochemical variables surveyed monthly at 22 sampling sites in the Taihu Basin, China. Principal component analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis (CA) were used to identify the characteristics of the surface water quality in the studied area. The temporal and spatial variations of water quality were also evaluated by using the fuzzy synthetic evaluation (FSE) method. PCA extracted the first two principal components (PCs), explaining 86.18% of the total variance of the raw data. Especially, PC1 (73.72%) had strong positive correlation with DO, and was negatively associated with CODMn, COD, BOD, NH4 +–N, TP and TN. PC2 (12.46%) was characterized by pH. CA showed that most sites were highly polluted by industrial and domestic wastewater which contributed significantly to PC1. The sites located in the west of Lake Taihu were influenced by farmland runoff which may contribute to nitrogen pollution of Lake Taihu, whereas the monitoring sites in the eastern of Lake Taihu demonstrated that urban residential subsistence and domestic wastewater are the major contaminants. FSE indicates that there is no obvious variance between 2001 and 2002 among most sites. Only several sites free from point-source pollution appear to exhibit good water quality through the studied period.  相似文献

The Hongtoushan copper–zinc deposit is a volcanic-associated massive sulfide deposit in the Archean greenstone belt in Liaoning, China. Polymetamorphism has resulted in changes to the composition and textures of minerals in the deposit, along with remobilization. During metamorphism, the original alteration minerals that formed with the ore minerals, such as chlorite and sericite, were transformed into cordierite, anthophyllite, and phlogopite. After further remobilization, new minerals, such as gahnite and actinolite, were formed. In this process, the original textures were destroyed and new textures were formed, including recrystallization and growth textures, brittle and ductile deformation textures, durchbewegung textures, replacement textures, chalcopyrite disease, and retrograde textures. The ore-forming components underwent two periods of remobilization. In the first (early) stage, mechanical remobilization was important, and formed a high grade Cu–Zn–Au–Ag “ore pillar” along the vertical hinge of a synformal fold. In the second (late) stage, the mixed hydrothermal–mechanical remobilization affected the ores, and was typically characterized by matrix sulfides, together with silicate minerals, moving from the matrix into individual fractured pyrite metablasts and replacing them to varying degrees.  相似文献

The Tongjing Cu–Au deposit is a medium-sized deposit within the Ningwu volcanic basin, east China, and is hosted by Cretaceous volcanic rocks of the Dawangshan and Niangniangshan Formations. The veined and lenticular Cu–Au orebodies are spatially and temporally related to the volcanic and subvolcanic rocks of the Niangniangshan Formation in the ore district. The wall-rock alteration is dominated by silicification, siderite alteration, carbonation, sericitization, chloritization, and kaolinization. On the basis of field evidence and petrographic observations, two stages of mineralization are recognized: (1) a siderite–quartz–sulfide stage (Stage 1) associated with the formation of chalcopyrite and pyrite in a quartz and siderite gangue; and (2) a quartz–bornite stage (Stage 2) cutting the Stage 1 phases. Stage 1 is the main mineralization stage. Quartz that formed in Stage 1 has δ18OH2O values of − 4.3‰ to 3.5‰ with δD values of fluid inclusion waters of − 97.1‰ to − 49.9‰, indicating that the ore-forming fluids were derived from early magmatic fluids and may have experienced oxygen isotopic exchange with meteoric water during Stage 1 mineralization.LA–MC–ICP–MS zircon U–Pb dating of the mineralization-related nosean-bearing phonolite and nosean-bearing phonolitic brecciated tuff at Tongjing yields ages of 129.8 ± 0.5 Ma and 128.9 ± 1.1 Ma, respectively. These results are interpreted as the crystallization age of the volcanic rocks of the Niangniangshan Formation. A hydrothermal sericite sample associated with Cu–Au mineralization at Tongjing yields a plateau 40Ar–39Ar age of 131.3 ± 1.3 Ma. These results confirm a genetic link between the volcanism and associated Cu–Au mineralization. The Tongjing Cu–Au deposit in the Ningwu basin is genetically and possibly tectonically similar to alkaline intrusion-related gold deposits elsewhere in the world.  相似文献

Caledonian orogeny is another important tectonic event in South China Block after the breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent. With a view to constrain the tectonic evolution and proto–basin in South China, this paper reports the geochemical and zircon U-Pb dating data of the Ordovician strata in central Hunan, South China. Geochemical features and paleocurrent directions suggest that the lower Ordovician deposited in a passive continental margin basin with a provenance of quartzose components and...  相似文献

The total hydrocarbon composition and average structural-group characteristics of typical Paleozoic crude oils of the Timan–Pechora petroliferous basin are described. The hydrocarbon (HC) types of crudes are compared, which were conventionally determined from the composition of their gasoline fractions, by mass-spectrometric analysis of the HC composition of crudes, and by structural-group analysis of crudes, based on radiospectrometric data. The analyses have shown the presence of 30 structural types of HCs with up to 43 carbon atoms. The whole series of members up to C43 are specific only for HCs with no more than three rings in the molecule. It has been established that the carbonate strata in the basin under investigation, independently of the depth of their occurrence and the age of the host deposits, generate and accumulate heavy high-resin high-sulfur oils rich in alicyclic structures and assigned by HC composition to the naphthene–methane or even naphthene type. Terrigenous reservoirs here abound in crudes of methane–naphthene type. The contents of sulfur and resinous substances and the fraction of carbon atoms in alicyclic HC structures decrease as the depth of occurrence of the host deposits grows, thus reflecting the known gradual process of “methanization” of petroleum composition.  相似文献

The newly discovered large-scale Baiganhu W–Sn orefield, consisting of the Kekekaerde, Baiganhu, Bashierxi, and Awaer deposits, is located in Ruoqiang County, southeastern Xinjiang, China. These deposits comprise mainly three types of W–Sn mineralization: early-stage skarn-type, middle-stage greisen-type, and late-stage quartz-vein-type. In this study, we classified seven major vertical zones on the basis of petrographic characteristics, roughly from the bottom of the parental granitic intrusions upward, as (A) fresh syenogranite, (B) argillic alteration, (C) muscovite-dominated greisenization, (D) tourmaline-dominated greisenization, (E) marginal facies (including K-feldspar pegmatite and fine-grained granite), (F) aplitic apophysis, and (G1) skarn or (G2) infilled silification zones. According to the alteration–mineralization assemblages and cross-cutting relationships, five stages of mineralization are recognized in the orefield (I, skarn stage; II, greisen stage; III, quartz vein stage; IV, argillic alteration stage; and V, supergene stage), and reverse alteration zonation in the altered intrusion is also observed. The W–Sn deposits are spatially associated with syenogranite, which is part of the Caledonian Bashierxi magmatic series. Laser ablation–inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) zircon U–Pb dating of the syenogranite yields a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 413.6 ± 2.4 Ma (MSWD = 0.36, n = 30). Hydrothermal muscovite from three samples associated with W–Sn mineralization yields plateau 40Ar/39Ar ages of 411.7 ± 2.6 Ma (MSWD = 0.21), 412.8 ± 2.4 Ma (MSWD = 0.22), and 413.8 ± 2.6 Ma (MSWD = 0.22), which is consistent with the zircon U–Pb age, thus indicating a temporal link between the emplacement of the syenogranite and the W–Sn mineralization. Our age data and previously published ages, along with geochemical data, for the granitoids in the Bashierxi magmatic series show a nearly contemporaneous evolution of A- and S-type granites, which were emplaced in a post-orogenic setting at ca. 432–413 Ma. As compared with the A-type granites, the syenogranites with S-type affinities probably resulted from a lower degree of partial melting of metagreywackes, which was more likely to be enriched in the ore-forming elements W and Sn, as well as volatiles such as B and H2O. In addition, the syenogranites exhibit low oxidation states and underwent high degrees of factional crystallization, both of which favor post-magmatic W–Sn mineralization. We suggest that more attention should be given to buried syenogranites of S-type affinities during mineral exploration in this area, and that the proposed model of a vertical alteration zoning can act as a guide to the targeting of similar ore systems.  相似文献

The Wangjiazhuang porphyry–breccia Cu(–Mo) deposit is located in the Zouping volcanic basin, western Shandong Province. Seven molybdenite samples yield a Re–Os weighted mean age of 127.8 ± 0.7 Ma (2σ), which is identical within error to the zircon weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 128.3 ± 1.3 Ma (2σ) determined for quartz monzonite samples. The host rock is characterized by high concentrations of K2O (4.26–4.53 wt.%), Na2O (4.97–5.76 wt.%), LILEs and LREEs, and high Mg# (> 40), and low concentrations of HFSEs and HREEs, with K2O/Na2O ratios of 0.76–0.88. The quartz monzonite also has high Sr/Y (69.9–112.5) and (La/Yb)N (22.0–30.0) ratios, similar to adakitic rocks worldwide. Relatively low initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.70549–0.70556), high εNd(t) values (2.58–3.06), high radiogenic Pb [(206Pb/204Pb)i = 18.3424–18.4606, (207Pb/204Pb)i = 15.5692–15.5985, (208Pb/204Pb)i = 38.1714–38.2734] and high zircon εHf(t) values (− 2.1 to + 4.3) indicate that the magma was likely derived from the partial melting of subducted oceanic crust which then reacted with the peridotitic mantle wedge. Both the breccia and porphyry ores have a narrow range of δ34S (− 4.8 to + 2.1‰) and Pb isotopic compositions (206Pb/204Pb = 18.295–18.402, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.551–15.573, and 208Pb/204Pb = 38.215–38.331), suggesting that the ore metals were extracted primarily from the quartz monzonite or similar source. Subduction of the Paleo-Pacific slab during the Early Cretaceous resulted in the formation of the Wangjiazhuang quartz monzonite and associated Cu(–Mo) deposit in western Shandong Province.  相似文献

We report here in-situ U–Pb and Hf isotopic results of detrital zircons from sixteen Cambrian–Silurian siliciclastic samples across the Nanhua foreland basin, South China. Together with published data from Ediacaran–Silurian sandstones in the region, we establish the temporal and spatial provenance evolution across the basin. Except for samples from northeast Yangtze, all other Ediacaran–Silurian samples exhibit a prominent population of 1100–900 Ma, moderate populations of 850–700 Ma and 650–490 Ma, and minor populations of 2500 Ma and 2000–1300 Ma, grossly matching that of crystalline and sedimentary rocks in northern India. Zircon Hf isotopes further reveal four episodes of juvenile crustal growth at 2.5 Ga, 1.8 Ga, 1.4 Ga and 1.0 Ga in the source regions. Utilizing the basin history and late Neoproterozoic to early Paleozoic paleogeography of South China, we conclude that the Ediacaran–Cambrian sediments in the Nanhua foreland basin were mainly sourced from northern India and adjacent orogens, and the Ordovician–Silurian sediments were derived from both locally recycled Ediacaran–Cambrian rocks and eroded Cathaysian basement. The Wuyi–Yunkai late-orogenic magmatic rocks also contributed to the Silurian sediments in the basin. The upper-Ordovician to Silurian samples in northeast Yangtze received higher proportions of local Cryogenian (850–700 Ma) magmatic rocks which were uplifted during late-Ordovician to Silurian time. We speculate that there was an Ediacaran–Cambrian collisional orogen between South China and northern India, shedding sediments to the early Nanhua foreland basin. Far-field stress during the late stage of this collisional orogeny triggered the Ordovician–Silurian intraplate Wuyi–Yunkai orogeny in South China, and erosion of the local Wuyi–Yunkai orogen further provided detritus to the late Nanhua foreland basin.  相似文献

Geochemical elements of oil shale in the Maoniing Basin were analyzed to discuss provenance attribute and depositional environment of the Youganwo formation. Experimental date of the major elements, trace elements and rare earth elements of 24 samples from the Maoye I well were examined. The analyzed oil shale samples were characterized by enrichment of Tb, U, Kb and LREE, depleted of Zr, Cr and Hf, negative Eu and Ce anomalies, indicating that these samples were originated from continental crust. The chemical index of alteration( CIA) values and the ZrZSc-Th/Sc diagrams indicate that source rooks had undergone intense chemical weathering and deposition recirculation. Based on the La/Th-Hf and La/Yb-^REE diagrams and the negative anomaly of Eu element, the oil shale in the Maoniing Basin has diverse sources, which mainly came from felsic source region of the upper crust or the mixture of felsic volcanic rocks, granite and sedimentary rocks. Ratios of the SrZCu, MgO/CaO suggest that oil shale was formed in fresh water under warm and humid climate, shallow water column became deeper during the middle and late sedimentary period. The depositional environment is interpreted to be limnetic with weak reduction at the early stage and gradually turned into semi-deep to deep lacustrine.  相似文献

The paper discusses the evolution of Stromatoporoidea in the epicontinental sedimentary basin of the Siberian Platform and Taimyr during the Ordovician and Silurian. Specimens of the oldest genus, Priscastroma, were found in the middle of Middle Ordovician sediments. This genus is represented by the species P. gemina Khrom., which has two forms, A and B. Tracing the emergence of new genera over time, we identified two distinct branches in stromatoporoid evolution. The ancestor of the first branch is P. gemina f. A, which gave rise to the genus Cystostroma. The latter is the ancestor of two subbranches with predominant horizontal skeletal elements. The subbranches differ only in tissue microstructure. The genera Stromatocerium, Dermatostroma, and Aulacera display dense fibrous microstructure, whereas the genus Rosenella and its descendants display dense microstructure. The genus Lophiostroma, with a lamellar–fibrous tissue, may be a dead branch of evolution. The ancestor of the second branch is P. gemina f. B, which gave rise to the genus Labechia and its descendants. This branch has a dense tissue, with predominant vertical skeletal elements.Ordovician stromatoporoids from Siberia were compared with those from other basins of the world. Comparison shows that all the Ordovician genera from the epicontinental basin of the Siberian Platform and Taimyr originated here. Thus, this basin was one of the centers of stromatoporoid origin.  相似文献
