Our earlier experimental data on the thermal conductivity of porous glass and of the porous glass + NaCl composite in the temperature interval 25–300 K are analyzed from a different standpoint. It is shown that the thermal conductivity of sodium chloride filling randomly arranged nanochannels in porous glass behaves exactly like that of a strongly disordered crystalline system and can be described in terms of Einstein’s model of the thermal conductivity of solids.  相似文献

Theory of wave scattering by many small bodies is developed under various assumptions concerning the ratio , where a is the characteristic dimension of a small body and d is the distance between neighboring bodies d=O(aκ1), 0<κ1<1. On the boundary Sm of every small body an impedance-type condition is assumed on Sm, 1?m?M, ζm=hmaκ, 0<κ, hm are constants independent of a. The behavior of the field in the region in which M=M(a)?1 small particles are embedded is studied as a→0 and M(a)→∞. Formulas for the refraction coefficient of the limiting medium are derived under the assumptions: (a) κ1=(2−κ)/3, 0<κ?1, and (b) κ1=1/3, κ>1. A method for creating materials with a desired refraction coefficient is proposed and justified theoretically on the basis of the above results.  相似文献

Using the pair of coupled Boltzmann kinetic equations for 2D electron gas and bulk acoustic phonons we derive the explicit formula for the phonon drag voltage induced by a pulsed phonon beam. A point source producing very short bursts of monoenergetic phonons is considered. The time integrated signal of the phonon drag voltage is calculated numerically for 2D electron gas lying in a {001} plane. For the raster scanned source of phonons the pattern of induced voltage is obtained and compared to the suitable experimental pattern and to the calculated quasimomentum focusing image. For several phonon propagation directions the dependency of induced voltage on the phonon energy is studied and compared with the experimental results. The ratio of the strength of piezo-electric coupling to the deformation potential constant and the localization length of 2D electrons are fitted.  相似文献

We introduce a model to study a symmetric nanocontact, whereby its mechanical properties can be analyzed via the vibration spectra. The model system consists of two groups of triple semi-infinite atomic chains joined by atoms in between. The matching method theoretical approach is used to calculate the coherent reflection and transmission scattering probabilities, the characteristic vibration Green functions and densities of states (DOS), for the vibration components of the individual atomic sites that constitute a complete representation of the nanocontact domain boundaries. The nanocontact observables are numerically calculated for different cases of elastic hardening and softening, to investigate how the local dynamics can respond to changes in the microscopic environment on the nanocontact domain. The analysis of the vibration spectra and the DOS demonstrate the fluctuations, related to Fano resonances, due to the coherent coupling between traveling phonons and the localized vibration modes in the nanocontact domain.  相似文献

A polymer nanohybrid material with enhanced dielectric permittivity was prepared using the fluorine‐containing polyimide (PI) 4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride/4,4′‐oxydianiline (6FDA/ODA) as matrix and graphene as conductive filler in our present work. Studies on the dielectric properties of the 6FDA/ODA–graphene nanohybrid films show that the dielectric permittivity (ε) can be significantly enhanced by the layer‐by‐layer structure of graphene and the presence of fluorine also has an important influence on the improvement of ε. The percolation theory and microcapacitor model are used to explain the change of dielectric properties and a percolation threshold fc = 0.0152 (2.45 wt%) was obtained by a linear‐fit calculation.

Resonant scattering from dielectric bispheres in the specular direction (the so-called specular resonance), previously known only in the microwave range, has been observed at the optical wavelength. Systematic experiments with micrometer-sized dielectric bispheres assembled by micromanipulation, together with rigorous numerical calculations, reveal that this scattering is a precursor of the classical rainbow and is a general phenomenon observed in the wide range of size parameters (>5 for n=1.59) for various refractive indices.  相似文献

In this study, we extend a fully exact Green’s function formalism to calculate the phonon transmission coefficient in a short simulated chain. We obtain new analytical formulas for a uniform-mass and periodic-mass chain. The results for a simple chain show that the resonance peak will be appeared without gap but for the periodic chain the transmission coefficient contains a gap in the acoustic band of leads.  相似文献

The conditions under which a bulk phonon, incident on the surface of a semi-infinite crystal, may induce an infinite vibrational amplitude inside the surface layers, are analysed. This mechanism is proposed as a possible driving force for surface reconstruction. A numerical application given for W(100) shows that this mechanism is a better candidate, to account for surface reconstructed W(100)/c(2 × 2), than the soft phonon process.  相似文献

We study stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in liquids (water and ethanol) embedded into photonic crystals (artificial opals) under excitation with 60 ps laser pulses at 532 nm. We observe a substantial decrease of the SRS threshold when the focused laser beam excites the crystals near their surface. The spatial distance between the beam center and the surface of the crystals is close to their nanoscale structure. The decrease in the SRS threshold is due to a substantial increase in the photonic-state density near the edges of the photonic crystal stop zones and the so-called Mie resonances in active media near the nanosized globules. This leads to a considerable increase in the local-electric-field intensity, causing the SRS threshold reduction. Such a method of reducing the SRS threshold opens up a way of creating new efficient laser sources based on photonic crystals and their use for different applications in nanotechnologies.  相似文献

A diagrammatic technique developed for Green’s functions with inclusion of multiphonon processes is used to investigate the electronic energy levels and the phonon replicas corresponding to them in a semiconductor quantum dot (QD) embedded in a dielectric matrix. It is shown, with reference to GaAs, CdSe, and CuCl quantum dots embedded in glass, that in the case of QD potential wells of a finite depth the shifts of the electronic energy levels decrease with decreasing QD size, irrespective of the strength of electron-phonon coupling in the nanoheterostructure. Theoretically calculated positions of the phonon replicas for CdSe in glass agree with the experimental data on Raman scattering.  相似文献

研究了双能带三维光子晶体中二能级原子自发辐射的性质.由于双能带各向异性色散关系的影响,辐射场中的局域场和传输场不能共存,导致原子上能级占据数不再具有准周期性振荡的性质,而是随时间趋于常数,或者随时间按幂函数形式衰减,或者随时间按指数形式衰减.这些性质不仅与原子上能级和能带带边的相对位置有关,而且与光子晶体上、下能带之间的能隙宽度有关.这些性质也有别于单能带各向同性光子晶体中二能级原子自发辐射的性质. 关键词: 光子晶体 二能级原子 自发辐射  相似文献

Phonon autoecho is observed upon pumping Bi and Sb semimetals with ultrashort high-energy laser pulses. The autoecho is manifested as a revival of reflection oscillations generated by an A1g coherent phonon after their complete disappearance. The phenomenon of phonon autoecho offers decisive evidence of the nonclassical character of the state of the crystal lattice that is accomplished in pumping-probing experiments by femtosecond laser pulses.  相似文献
