Our main result states that for each finite complex L the category TOP of topological spaces possesses a model category structure (in the sense of Quillen) whose weak equivalences are precisely maps which induce isomorphisms of all [L]-homotopy groups. The concept of [L]-homotopy has earlier been introduced by the first author and is based on Dranishnikov’s notion of extension dimension. As a corollary we obtain an algebraic characterization of [L]-homotopy equivalences between [L]-complexes. This result extends two classical theorems of J. H. C. Whitehead. One of them – describing homotopy equivalences between CW-complexes as maps inducing isomorphisms of all homotopy groups – is obtained by letting L = {point}. The other – describing n-homotopy equivalences between at most (n+1)-dimensional CW-complexes as maps inducing isomorphisms of k-dimensional homotopy groups with k ⩽ n – by letting L = S n+1 , n ⩾ 0.  相似文献

We investigate which aspects of recent developments on Galois corings and comodules admit a formulation in terms of comonads. The general theory is applied to the study of Galois comodules over corings over firm rings. After recalling the definition of a bicoalgebroid, we define comodules and modules over a bicoalgebroid. We construct the monoidal category of comodules, and define Yetter–Drinfel’d modules over a bicoalgebroid. It is proved that the Yetter–Drinfel’d category is monoidal and pre-braided just as in the case of bialgebroids, and is embedded into the one-sided center of the comodule category. We proceed to define braided cocommutative coalgebras (BCC) over a bicoalgebroid, and dualize the scalar extension construction of Brzeziński and Militaru (J Algebra 251:279–294, 2002) and Bálint and Szlachányi (J Algebra 296:520–560, 2006), originally applied to bialgebras and bialgebroids, to bicoalgebroids. A few classical examples of this construction are given. Identifying the comodule category over a bicoalgebroid with the category of coalgebras of the associated comonad, we obtain a comonadic (weakened) version of Schauenburg’s theorem. Finally, we take a look at the scalar extension and braided cocommutative coalgebras from a (co-)monadic point of view.   相似文献

In [Michailov I.M., On Galois cohomology and realizability of 2-groups as Galois groups, Cent. Eur. J. Math., 2011, 9(2), 403–419] we calculated the obstructions to the realizability as Galois groups of 14 non-abelian groups of order 2 n , n ≥ 4, having a cyclic subgroup of order 2 n−2, over fields containing a primitive 2 n−3th root of unity. In the present paper we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the realizability of the remaining 8 groups that are not direct products of smaller groups.  相似文献

Classes of indefinite quadratic forms in a genus are in correspondence with the Galois group of an abelian extension called the spinor class field (Estes and Hsia, Japanese J. Math. 16, 341–350 (1990)). Hsia has proved (Hsia et al., J. Reine Angew. Math. 494, 129–140 (1998)) the existence of a representation field F with the property that a lattice in the genus represents a fixed given lattice if and only if the corresponding element of the Galois group is trivial on F. This far, the corresponding result for skew-hermitian forms was known only in some special cases, e.g., when the ideal (2) is square free over the base field. In this work we prove the existence of representation fields for quaternionic skew-hermitian forms in complete generality.  相似文献

Generalizing the notion of Galois corings, Galois comodules were introduced as comodules P over an A-coring 𝒞 for which P A is finitely generated and projective and the evaluation map μ𝒞:Hom 𝒞 (P, 𝒞) ?  S P → 𝒞 is an isomorphism (of corings) where S = End 𝒞 (P). It has been observed that for such comodules the functors ? ?  A 𝒞 and Hom A (P, ?) ?  S P from the category of right A-modules to the category of right 𝒞-comodules are isomorphic. In this note we use this isomorphism related to a comodule P to define Galois comodules without requiring P A to be finitely generated and projective. This generalises the old notion with this name but we show that essential properties and relationships are maintained. Galois comodules are close to being generators and have common properties with tilting (co)modules. Some of our results also apply to generalised Hopf Galois (coalgebra Galois) extensions.  相似文献

We prove the modularity of certain residually reducible p-adic Galois representations of an imaginary quadratic field assuming the uniqueness of the residual representation. We obtain an R = T theorem using a new commutative algebra criterion that might be of independent interest. To apply the criterion, one needs to show that the quotient of the universal deformation ring R by its ideal of reducibility is cyclic Artinian of order no greater than the order of the congruence module T/J, where J is an Eisenstein ideal in the local Hecke algebra T. The inequality is proven by applying the Main conjecture of Iwasawa Theory for Hecke characters and using a result of Berger [Compos Math 145(3):603–632, 2009]. This strengthens our previous result [Berger and Klosin, J Inst Math Jussieu 8(4):669–692, 2009] to include the cases of an arbitrary p-adic valuation of the L-value, in particular, cases when R is not a discrete valuation ring. As a consequence we show that the Eisenstein ideal is principal and that T is a complete intersection.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study the weak convergence problems of the irnplicity iteration process for Lipschitzian pseudocontraction semigroups in general Banach spaces. Group Corings
We introduce group corings, and study functors between categories of comodules over group corings, and the relationship to graded modules over graded rings. Galois group corings are defined, and a Structure Theorem for the G-comodules over a Galois group coring is given. We study (graded) Morita contexts associated to a group coring. Our theory is applied to group corings associated to a comodule algebra over a Hopf group coalgebra. A theory of monoids in the category of bicomodules of a coalgebra C or C-rings is developed. This can be viewed as a dual version of the coring theory. The notion of a matrix ring context consisting of two bicomodules and two maps is introduced and the corresponding example of a C-ring (termed a matrix C -ring) is constructed. It is shown that a matrix ring context can be associated to any bicomodule which is a one-sided quasi-finite injector. Based on this, the notion of a Galois module is introduced and the structure theorem, generalising Schneider’s Theorem II [Schneider, Isr. J. Math., 72:167–195, 1990], is proven. This is then applied to the C-ring associated to a weak entwining structure and a structure theorem for a weak A-Galois coextension is derived. The theory of matrix ring contexts for a firm coalgebra (or infinite matrix ring contexts) is outlined. A Galois connection associated to a matrix C-ring is constructed. The purpose of this paper is to construct nontrivial MDS self-dual codes over Galois rings. We consider a building-up construction of self-dual codes over Galois rings as a GF(q)-analogue of (Kim and Lee, J Combin Theory ser A, 105:79–95). We give a necessary and sufficient condition on which the building-up construction holds. We construct MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 8 over GR(32,2), GR(33,2) and GR(34,2), and near-MDS self-dual codes of length 10 over these rings. In a similar manner, over GR(52,2), GR(53,2) and GR(72,2), we construct MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 10 and near-MDS self-dual codes of length 12. Furthermore, over GR(112,2) we have MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 12.   相似文献

We show that if F is a totally real field in which p splits completely and f is a mod p Hilbert modular form with parallel weight 2 < k < p, which is ordinary at all primes dividing p and has tamely ramified Galois representation at all primes dividing p, then there is a “companion form” of parallel weight k′ := p + 1 − k. This work generalises results of Gross and Coleman–Voloch for modular forms over Q.  相似文献

We consider a special space of set-valued functions (multifunctions), the space of densely continuous forms D(X, Y) between Hausdorff spaces X and Y, defined in [HAMMER, S. T.—McCOY, R. A.: Spaces of densely continuous forms, Set-Valued Anal. 5 (1997), 247–266] and investigated also in [HOLá, L’.: Spaces of densely continuous forms, USCO and minimal USCO maps, Set-Valued Anal. 11 (2003), 133–151]. We show some of its properties, completing the results from the papers [HOLY, D.—VADOVIČ, P.: Densely continuous forms, pointwise topology and cardinal functions, Czechoslovak Math. J. 58(133) (2008), 79–92] and [HOLY, D.—VADOVIČ, P.: Hausdorff graph topology, proximal graph topology and the uniform topology for densely continuous forms and minimal USCO maps, Acta Math. Hungar. 116 (2007), 133–144], in particular concerning the structure of the space of real-valued locally bounded densely continuous forms D p *(X) equipped with the topology of pointwise convergence in the product space of all nonempty-compact-valued multifunctions. The paper also contains a comparison of cardinal functions on D p *(X) and on real-valued continuous functions C p (X) and a generalization of a sufficient condition for the countable cellularity of D p *(X). We give a shorter proof of Kanter’s (J. Multivariate Anal. 6, 222–236, 1976) sharp Bessel function bound for concentrations of sums of independent symmetric random vectors. We provide sharp upper bounds for the sum of modified Bessel functions I0(x) + I1(x), which might be of independent interest. Corollaries improve concentration or smoothness bounds for sums of independent random variables due to Čekanavičius & Roos (Lith. Math. From the degree zero part of the logarithmic vector fields along analgebraic hypersurface singularity we identify the maximal multihomogeneity of a defining equation in form of a maximal algebraic torus in the embedded automorphism group. We show that all such maximal tori are conjugate and in one–to–one correspondence to maximal tori in the linear jet of the embedded automorphism group. These results are motivated by Kyoji Saito’s characterization of quasihomogeneity for isolated hypersurface singularities [Saito in Invent. Math. 14, 123–142 (1971)] and extend previous work with Granger and Schulze [Compos. Math. 142(3), 765–778 (2006), Theorem 5.4] and of Hauser and Müller [Nagoya Math. J. 113, 181–186 (1989), Theorem 4].  相似文献

In this article we defined and studied quasi-finite comodules, the cohom functors for coalgebras over rings. Linear functors between categories of comodules are also investigated and it is proved that good enough linear functors are nothing but a cotensor functor. Our main result of this work characterizes equivalences between comodule categories generalizing the Morita-Takeuchi theory to coalgebras over rings. Morita-Takeuchi contexts in our setting is defined and investigated, a correspondence between strict Morita-Takeuchi contexts and equivalences of comodule categories over the involved coalgebras is obtained. Finally, we proved that for coalgebras over QF-rings Takeuchi's representation of the cohom functor is also valid.  相似文献

The geometry of slant submanifolds of a nearly trans-Sasakian manifold is studied when the tensor field Q is parallel. It is proved that Q is not parallel on the submanifold unless it is anti-invariant and thus the result of [CABRERIZO, J. L.—CARRIAZO, A.—FERNANDEZ, L. M.—FERNANDEZ, M.: Slant submanifolds in Sasakian manifolds, Glasg. Math. J. 42 (2000), 125–138] and [GUPTA, R. S.—KHURSHEED HAIDER, S. M.—SHARFUDIN, A.: Slant submanifolds of a trans-Sasakian manifold, Bull. Math. Soc. Sci. Math. Roumanie (N.S.) 47 (2004), 45–57] are generalized.  相似文献
