Abstract:
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a very useful polymer, which has low toxicity, good bioeompatibility and high hydrophilieity and good abilities of film-forming, adhering and high emulsification. It has been widely used in many biomedical areas. In this review, we mainly focused on introducing the applications of PVA in scaf-fold material, bone material, drug delivery system(DDS), film, surgery and so on. 在视神经横切面图像中,将每个神经纤维的边界精确地分割出来,是视神经形态分析的重要环节。由于神经纤维数量巨大、形态各异,单纯采用一种分割方法无法获得满意效果。采用基于Watersnake的分割方法,整合Watershed和Snake在图像分割方面的优势,分两步进行纤维分割。首先由Watershed获取纤维的粗轮廓,在此基础上由Snake经曲线演化获得纤维的精细轮廓。实验结果表明,Watersnake能较好地识别神经纤维的内外轮廓,为后续的神经纤维形态分析奠定基础。 相似文献

We seek to construct physical and mathematical models of life. Such models allow us to test our understanding of how living systems function and how they respond to human imposed stimuli. One system is a genomically and chemically complete model of a minimal cell. This cell is a hypothetical bacterium with the fewest number of genes possible. Such a minimal cell provides a platform to ask about the essential features of a living cell and forms a platform to investigate “synthetic biology.” A second system is “Body-on-a-Chip” which is a microfabricated microfluidic system with cells or tissue constructs representing various organs in the body. It can be constructed from human or animal cells and used in drug discovery development. That model is a physical representation of a physiologically based pharmacokinetic model. Endometrial cancer risk is influenced by reproductive behaviours, including parity and breastfeeding, and timing of life history events such as age at menarche and menopause. One potential mechanism by which altered reproductive strategies may influence endometrial cancer risk is through exposure to reproductive hormones. Current theory suggests that high lifetime exposure to oestrogen, unopposed by progesterone, increases endometrial cancer risk; here we suggest that progesterone deficiency itself may also play a significant role. Additionally, given that reproductive profile variables are themselves influenced by early childhood conditions, we hypothesise that endometrial cancer risk may be influenced by the childhood psychosocial environment as mediated through changes to adolescent and adult reproductive behaviours and hormone exposures. Investigating reproductive cancers, including endometrial cancer, using a life history approach may help to increase understanding of why these cancers occur and potentially help implementation of early detection and screening processes in the future. 相似文献
