Helminthological examinations of 30 stoat and 31 weasel carcasses were carried out in Belorussian Polesie (southern part of Belarus, Brest and Gomel regions) between 1980 and 1999. The total rate of helminth infection of these animals was 78.7%. A total of 23 stoats and 25 weasels were infected by helminths. The animals were hosts for 20 species of helminths.  相似文献

We report on the examination of 18 elk ( Alces alces), 16 red deer (Cervus elaphus)and 16 roe deer ( Capreolus capreolus) from the Belorussian Polesie in the period 1981-1998 for helminths. Metabolism of radioactive and stable iodine in the thyroid gland and blood of rats with chronic uranium poisoning was studied for 21 days after administration of131I. In uranium poisoning the number of iodide-transport loci in the gland and the size of the intrathyroid iodine pool are reduced and the concentration of stable iodine in the thyroid tissue is lowered. Investigation of the thermomechanical and disaggregation properties of supramolecular DNP systems isolated from leukemic cells revealed a stronger bond than normally between their components. The corticosteroid concentration in the blood of rats was found to be lowered after injection of 3-acetylpyridine. In rats previously given 3-acetylpyridine, ACTH reduced the fall in the corticosteroid level in the blood and adrenal tissue compared with that in intact animals. Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity in the adrenals was reduced after administration of 3-acetylpyridine. It is suggested that 3-acetylpyridine exerts its action at the adrenal level by inhibiting NADPH generation in dehydrogenase system.Department of Regulation of Metabolism, Academy of Sciences of the Belorussian SSR, Grodno. The principles governing production of mitogenic factor in human lymphocyte cultures stimulated by phytohemagglutinin (PHA) were studied. The mitogenic activity of the culture media were tested in the presence of antibodies against PHA. Irradiation of the lymphocytes sharply increased their ability to produce mitogenic factors. Removal of phagocytic cells by means of iron carbonyl also led to marked stimulation of production of the factor. Experiments on AKR and C57BL mice of different ages, using experimental models of transplantable Gross (first generation), Pujman, and spontaneous leukemia of AKR mice, showed that the ability of mice to produce humoral antibodies is inversely proportional to their susceptibility to inoculation of syngeneic leukemic cells and also to the incidence of spontaneous leukemia. The difference in ability to form an immune response to heterologous antigen were due to the physiological processes taking place in the aging organism.
