In this work, we design and analyze a numerical scheme for solving the generalized time‐fractional Telegraph‐type equation (GTFTTE) which is defined using the generalized time fractional derivative (GTFD) proposed recently by Agrawal. The GTFD involves the scale and the weight functions, and reduces to the traditional Caputo derivative for a particular choice of the weight and the scale functions. The scale and the weight functions play an important role in describing the behavior of real‐life physical systems and thus we study the solution behavior of the GTFTTE by varying the weight and the scale functions in the GTFD. We investigate the solution profile of the GTFTTE under some of these choices. We also provide the stability and the convergence analysis of the proposed numerical scheme for the GTFTTE. We consider two test examples to perform numerical simulations.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a nonhomogeneous space‐time fractional telegraph equation defined in a bounded space domain, which is obtained from the standard telegraph equation by replacing the first‐order or second‐order time derivative by the Caputo fractional derivative , α > 0 and the Laplacian operator by the fractional Laplacian ( ? Δ)β ∕ 2, β ∈ (0,2]. We discuss and derive the analytical solutions under nonhomogeneous Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions by using the method of separation of variables. The obtained solutions are expressed through multivariate Mittag‐Leffler type functions. Special cases of solutions are also discussed. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a fast high order difference scheme is first proposed to solve the time fractional telegraph equation based on the ℱℒ 2-1σ formula for the Caputo fractional derivative, which reduces the storage and computational cost for calculation. A compact scheme is then presented to improve the convergence order in space. The unconditional stability and convergence in maximum norm are proved for both schemes, with the accuracy order and , respectively. Difficulty arising from the two Caputo fractional derivatives is overcome by some detailed analysis. Finally, we carry out numerical experiments to show the efficiency and accuracy, by comparing with the ℒ 2-1σ method.  相似文献

In this paper, a Cauchy problem for the time fractional advection-dispersion equation (TFADE) is investigated. Such a problem is obtained from the classical advection-dispersion equation by replacing the first-order time derivative by the Caputo fractional derivative of order . We show that the Cauchy problem of TFADE is severely ill-posed and further apply a spectral regularization method to solve it based on the solution given by the Fourier method. The convergence estimate is obtained under a priori bound assumptions for the exact solution. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed numerical method.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce the triple Laplace transform for the solution of a class of fractional order partial differential equations. As a consequence, fractional order homogeneous heat equation in 2 dimensions is investigated in detail. The corresponding solution is obtained by using the aforementioned triple Laplace transform, which is the generalization of double Laplace transform. Numerical plots to the concerned solutions are provided to demonstrate our results.  相似文献

In this article, we study an inverse problem with inhomogeneous source to determine an initial data from the time fractional diffusion equation. In general, this problem is ill-posed in the sense of Hadamard, so the quasi-boundary value method is proposed to solve the problem. In the theoretical results, we propose a priori and a posteriori parameter choice rules and analyze them. Finally, two numerical results in the one-dimensional and two-dimensional case show the evidence of the used regularization method.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the time‐fractional gas dynamics equation with Caputo derivative. Fractional operators are very natural tools to model memory‐dependent phenomena. Modified iteration method is proposed to obtain the approximate and analytical solution of the fractional gas dynamics equation. This method is a combined form of the new iteration method and Laplace transform. Modified iteration method really is powerful and simple method compared with other methods. Existence and uniqueness of solution are proven. Numerical results for different cases of the equation are obtained. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper introduces an approximate solution for Liouville‐Caputo variable order fractional differential equations with order 0 < α(t) ≤ 1 . The solution is adapted using a family of fractional‐order Chebyshev functions with unknown coefficients. These coefficients have been obtained by using an optimization approach based on minimax technique and the least pth optimization function. Several linear and nonlinear fractional‐order differential equations are discussed using the proposed technique for fixed and variable order fractional‐order derivatives. Moreover, the response of RC charging circuit with variable order fractional capacitor is studied for different cases. Several comparisons with related published techniques have been added to illustrate the accuracy of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this research, numerical approximation to fractional Bagley-Torvik equation as an important model arising in fluid mechanics is investigated. Our discretization algorithm is based on the local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) schemes along with using the natural upwind fluxes, which enables us to solve the model problem element by element. This means that we require to solve a low-order system of equations in each subinterval, hence avoiding the need for a full global solution. The proposed schemes are tested on a range of initial- and boundary-value problems including a variable coefficient example, a nonsmooth problem, and some oscillatory test cases with exact solutions. Also, the validation of the proposed methods was compared with those obtained available existing computational procedures. Overall, it was found that LDG methods indicated highly satisfactory performance with comparatively lower degree of polynomials and number of elements compared with other numerical models.  相似文献

This article discusses the spectral collocation method for numerically solving nonlocal problems: one‐dimensional space fractional advection–diffusion equation; and two‐dimensional linear/nonlinear space fractional advection–diffusion equation. The differentiation matrixes of the left and right Riemann–Liouville and Caputo fractional derivatives are derived for any collocation points within any given bounded interval. Several numerical examples with different boundary conditions are computed to verify the efficiency of the numerical schemes and confirm the exponential convergence; the physical simulations for Lévy–Feller advection–diffusion equation and space fractional Fokker–Planck equation with initial δ‐peak and reflecting boundary conditions are performed; and the eigenvalue distributions of the iterative matrix for a variety of systems are displayed to illustrate the stabilities of the numerical schemes in more general cases. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This work is concerned with the extension of the Jacobi spectral Galerkin method to a class of nonlinear fractional pantograph differential equations. First, the fractional differential equation is converted to a nonlinear Volterra integral equation with weakly singular kernel. Second, we analyze the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the obtained integral equation. Then, the Galerkin method is used for solving the equivalent integral equation. The error estimates for the proposed method are also investigated. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to confirm our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper presents a numerical method for solving a class of fractional variational problems (FVPs) with multiple dependent variables, multi order fractional derivatives and a group of boundary conditions. The fractional derivative in the problem is in the Caputo sense. In the presented method, the given optimization problem reduces to a system of algebraic equations using polynomial basis functions. An approximate solution for the FVP is achieved by solving the system. The choice of polynomial basis functions provides the method with such a flexibility that initial and boundary conditions can be easily imposed. We extensively discuss the convergence of the method and finally present illustrative examples to demonstrate validity and applicability of the new technique.  相似文献

This paper presents numerical solutions for the space‐ and time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries equation (KdV for short) using the variational iteration method. The space‐ and time‐fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. In this method, general Lagrange multipliers are introduced to construct correction functionals for the problems. The multipliers in the functionals can be identified optimally via variational theory. The iteration method, which produces the solutions in terms of convergent series with easily computable components, requiring no linearization or small perturbation. The numerical results show that the approach is easy to implement and accurate when applied to space‐ and time‐fractional KdV equations. The method introduces a promising tool for solving many space–time fractional partial differential equations. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2007  相似文献

We focus on a numerical scheme applied for a fractional oscillator equation in a finite time interval. This type of equation includes a complex form of left- and right-sided fractional derivatives. Its analytical solution is represented by a series of left and right fractional integrals and therefore is difficult in practical calculations. Here we elaborated two numerical schemes being dependent on a fractional order of the equation. The results of numerical calculations are compared with analytical solutions. Then we illustrate convergence and stability of our schemes.  相似文献

We develop a space-time fractional Schrödinger equation containing Caputo fractional derivative and the quantum Riesz fractional operator from a space fractional Schrödinger equation in this paper. By use of the new equation we study the time evolution behaviors of the space-time fractional quantum system in the time-independent potential fields and two cases that the order of the time fractional derivative is between zero and one and between one and two are discussed respectively. The space-time fractional Schrödinger equation with time-independent potentials is divided into a space equation and a time one. A general solution, which is composed of oscillatory terms and decay ones, is obtained. We investigate the time limits of the total probability and the energy levels of particles when time goes to infinity and find that the limit values not only depend on the order of the time derivative, but also on the sign (positive or negative) of the eigenvalues of the space equation. We also find that the limit value of the total probability can be greater or less than one, which means the space-time fractional Schrödinger equation describes the quantum system where the probability is not conservative and particles may be extracted from or absorbed by the potentials. Additionally, the non-Markovian time evolution laws of the space-time fractional quantum system are discussed. The formula of the time evolution of the mechanical quantities is derived and we prove that there is no conservative quantities in the space-time fractional quantum system. We also get a Mittag-Leffler type of time evolution operator of wave functions and then establish a Heisenberg equation containing fractional operators.  相似文献
