THE ONSET OF THE TRANSITIONAL SEASONS IN THE FAR EAST FROM THE VIEW-POINT OF THE GENERAL CIRCULATION

In this paper the onset of the transitional seasons in the Far East is discussed from the view point of the general circulation. It is shown that both spring and autumn arrive at the Far East very abruptly. The magnitude of the pressure fall with the arrival of spring and that of the pressure rise with the arrival of autumn in the Far East surpass everywhere else in the Northern Hemisphere.
