本体在汉英机器翻译中的应用研究

A Research on the Ontology-based Chinese-English Machine Translation

Ontology, a new technology from knowledge engineering, is introduced into machine translation to help the understanding and computing of natural language semantics. Ontology provides the language-independent and formal expressions for words in source language and target language. The concept network of otology provides the world knowledge and semantic space to clear up the ambiguity of nature language. The reasoning mechanism of ontology makes the semantic processing much easier. Ontology has become a new theory and tool for semantic analysis.
