体育文化指人类在体育运动及其相关领域中生产或创造的物质产品、思想观念、制度、思维模式、行为模式等，它包括了人类在体育活动中所创造的物质文化、制度文化和精神文化等。体育文化在我国精神文明建设中占据重要地位，它是我国从传统的计划经济社会向现代化的社会主义市场经济社会转型的精神动力之一，也是新时期我国体育发展的精神动力。体育文化在我国社会转型中发挥着价值引导、行为规范、舆论支持和文化积累等作用，充分体现在思想意识的创造性和促进精神转化为物质过程中的能动性等方面。

The status and roles of sports culture in the construction of socialistic spiritual civilization

Sports culture refers to the material products, ideological conceptions, institutions, thinking modes and behavior modes produced or created by mankind in sports movements and their related areas, including the material culture, institutional culture and spiritual culture created by mankind in sports activities. Sports culture has an important status in the construction of socialistic spiritual civilization in China, being one of the spiritual driving forces for the transition of China from a traditional planned economy society to a modern socialistic market economy society, and the spiritual driving force for the development of sports in China in the new period.
