Only when the fastest speed between hurdles is raised to a higher level can the ability to maintain speed prove to be significant. The speed of world's excellent hurdlers does not necessarily have something to do wity his average time crossing hurdles. Judging ty the time segments,what matters most is the second and third segments of time.
