Abstract:Objective To write a review of the roots of Isatis indigotica in chemical constituents,pharmacological effects and quality control methods.Methods The documents were classified and summarized by chemical constituents, pharmacological effects and quality control methods. Results and Conclusion The roots of Isatis indigotica possess such actions as antibacterial and antivirus actions and stimulating immunity ,but the quality standards and extraction process are not quite suitable and should be improved.
