CRP与牙周炎和动脉粥样硬化的关系

C反应蛋白(C reactive protein,CRP)是一种与全身和局部炎症有关的急性时相蛋白质.牙周炎是微生物引起的炎症性疾病,其炎症刺激可导致机体发生急性期反应,引起血清CRP水平的升高.研究结果表明,CRP也是与动脉粥样硬化发生、演变和进展有关的促炎症因子并在血管损伤过程中起着直接作用.研究证明:CRP是心血管疾病的独立危险因素,在动脉粥样硬化的发生发展中起到重要作用.因此牙周疾病与心血管疾病之间可能存在病理发展上的某种相同性及相关性.就CRP与牙周炎和动脉粥样硬化的关系作一综述.

The Association of CRP with Periodontitis and Atherosclerosis

C-reactive protein is an acute-phase protein associated with systemic and local inflammation.Periodontitis is a kind of inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms;the inflammation can lead to acute phase responsein the body,causing elevated serum CRP levels.Some studies indicated that CRP actually occurs with atherosclerosis,evolution and progression of pro-inflammatory factor which plays a direct role in vascular injury.Many research results have shown:CRP is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease.Based on these findings,we may infer that there are some possible links between periodontal disease and cardiovascular disease.This paper provides an overview of the current evidence about the association of CRP with periodontitis and atherosclerosis.
