Osteoarthritis （OA） is the most common joint disease in the ageing population. How to establish the early diagnosis of articular cartilage injury has become the important and difficult points now. The major component of cartilage is collagen type 2, so the biological markers produced in the synthesis and degradation have become a research focus. The biomarkers detecting in the synovial fluid, serum and urine can achieve the early diagnosis and monitoring the development of the disease, and understand the body＇s response to the drug treatment.
