Social Funding and Hospital Development: A Practice of Shanghai Children's Medical Center

Along with the development of market economy, the State and the municipal government's supports (either funds or materials) on the Children's Hospital are decreasing; meanwhile, it has became possible to obtain fund from the society to benefit the further development of the hospital. This is the demand of the development of pediatric medical cause, the demand of medical administration reform and also the development outcome of market economy. This article introduces the practice and experience of social funding in Shanghai Children' s Medical Center.
