外感厥症论治

厥症为古代四大症之一，其病证表现为寒厥和热厥两大类。其病机为气机升降出入的严重障碍或虚极欲脱或邪实闭极，为疾病发展至极之变，常表现为闭证、脱证或内闭外脱之证。其病理变化复杂，涉及多个脏器，以心、肾为重心而夹痰夹瘀夹秽浊。中医以手足逆冷或神昏占语或痉厥并见为主症。

Treatment of jue-syndrome due to Exogenous Insults

The jue-syndrome is one of the four kinds of ancient serious syndromes. The disease can be classfied into the cold-type-syndrome and cold extremties due to heat-evil. It's pathogenesis displays serious vital energy disturbance or exhaustion due to over whelming weakness or sthenia-syndrome due to excess of evil, which is the worst stage of the disease. It often displays as sthenia-syndrome, collapse-syndrome or both sthenia-syndrome and collapse-syndrome. Pathologic change including discharge of phlegm, blood clots and turbid evil is complicated often involving more than one viscera, with heart and kidney most affected. The TCM regard coldness of hands and feet, coma and delirium, or both convulsive-disease and jue-syndrome as a major sign. This paper discussed treatment of jue-syndrome according to syndrome differentiation in Treaties on Exogenous Febrileoisease and science of seasonal febrile disease. The different ways of treatment are as follows: benefiting vital energy and astringent therapy, restore yong from collapse, arousing one from coma with fragrant drugs, clearing away heat and toxic materials and eliminating evils with drugs of bither tast and cold nature, etc.
