| Abstract: | Recent studies have identified close links between the endocrine system and cardiovascular disease. These links involve a variety of hormones, such as insulin, thyroid hormone, growth hormone, adrenal medulla and cortical hormones, and sex hormones. This review focuses on the roles of these hormones in atherosclerosis. |
