Effects of Extract of Bulbus Allii Caespitosi on Cardiocyte Viability of Swine With Myocardial Reperfusion Injury Evaluated by 13N-NH3 Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effects of extract of Bulbus Allii Caespitosi on cardiocyte viability of swine with myocardial reperfusion injury by analyzing 13N-NH3 position emission tomography(PET)imaging.Methods:Twenty-four swine were randomly divided into sham-operated group,untreated group,trimetazidine group and extract of Bulbus Allii Caespitosi group(each n=6).Myocardial reperfusion injury was induced by plugging the anterior descending coronary artery of swine with sacculus.Bulbus Allii Caespitosi(5.93 mg/kg) or trimetazidine(20 mg/kg) was given twice daily for 28 days.Then myocardial reperfusion imaging was detected with 13N-NH3 one hour after the last medication,and myocardial perfusion of relative sections were evaluated by the method of four points corresponding evaluation.Results:Compared with the untreated group,Bulbus Allii Caespitosi and trimetazidine could improve the activity of myocardial cells after myocardial infarction(P 0.01),and there were no significant differences between Bulbus AIlii Caespitosi group and trimetazidine group(P0.05).Conclusion:Bulbus Allii Caespitosi can improve myocardial ischemia in swine.
