位于都柏林市中心的Light House Cinema始建于1988年．是一家由私人经营的艺术剧院，当时只有两个小的放映厅．专门放映文艺片、独立电影．当地的原创电影和小成本电影．也因此成为了爱尔兰小众电影爱好者的常去之地。

Light House Cinema Design

DTA Architects were commissioned in December 2006 to reatise the recreation of the Light House Cinema. The architectural chaLLenge of this project was to combine the ＂insertion＂ of four cinema volumes into ＂existing＂ basement voids with the creation of an informal, circulation ＂route＂ providing an enjoyable and spatially challenging experience to the cinema patron. A substantial motivation behind our conceptual approach was to recover an enjoyment going to the cinema that has been diminished through the banality of the mulit-ptex experience.
