| Abstract: | Under the earthquake action, the horizontal forces induced by the rigid structure above the bottom frames are transmitted through the transition floor slabs to have adequate in - plane flexural rigidity. A reasonable slab thickness will not only ensure the integral stability of the structure, but also prevent excessive strength reserve or individual weak points. |
