| Abstract: | The drying shrinkage and self shrinkage of concrete wer e experimentally studied. The test results show that the high performance concre te (HPC) behaves as significant self shrinkage due to the consumption of water caused by the cement hydration. However the drying shrinkage of HPC is similar to that of the normal strength concrete. The incorporation of silica fume increa ses the self shrinkage of HPC. |
