| Abstract: | Mathematical programming(optimization) is a new modeling tool to coustruct free form surfaces. It is very noticeable in such feilds as blending surface modeling, free form surface design, etc. The paper introduces the basic principles and implementation of the mathematical programming method. And, the authors present some arguments on the theory and development potentials of that method. |
