| 摘 要： | 汽车牌照的快速准确定位是汽车牌照实时自动识别技术中非常关键的一步。本文利用汽车牌照尺寸、字间距、字数和字体统一的纹理特征，提出了基于边缘检测和投影法相结合的牌照定位算法和基于二值化和投影法相结合的牌照定位算法。大量实验结果表明，两种算法都具有快速、简洁实用和跟图象背景的复杂程度相关小的特点。

| Abstract: | A fast and precise location is a key step in the real-time and automatic recognition techniques for license plate. A license plate location algorithm based on the combination of edge detection and projection and another algorithm based on the combination of binarization and projection are put forward by means of the characteristics in sizes, interval, number and type of the characters on license plate. Large amounts of experimental results demonstrate that both algorithms have the properties of rapidity, simplicity, applicability and a small dependence with a complicated image background. |
