ITMS (intelligent transportation management system) is an important application domain of ITS (intelligent transportation system). It is used as a type of intelligence system of the transportation control, management and decision-making. It can control the transportation facilities availably, provide useful information for transportation user, and ensure travelers to go through the road con- veniently and safely. ITMS will have an extensive prospect of application and development. Beginning from the concept of the city ITMS, the basic composing and function architecture diagram of ITMS based on information processing and information share are presented, and the relative key technique in system construction process is analyzed.
