摘    要:寄存器作为机器硬件结构中有限的宝贵资源,使得寄存器分配技术成为编译器最为关键的优化技术之一。寄存器分配效率提高的关键在于如何最大限度地减少溢出带来的开销,论文针对这一问题,提出了在传统RISC芯片存储结构的基础上加一级缓冲寄存器来处理溢出的设想,并以作者为一种新型的RISC体系结构微处理器研制的编译系统为背景,提出了基于该缓冲寄存器的寄存器分配优化策略。实验表明,优化效果明显。

Abstract:Register allocation has become one of the most important techniques in compiler optimization when considering the limited and valuable resources of hardware architecture provided by register. The key to enhancing efficiency of register allocation is reducing the spilled costs to the greatest extent. To deal with it, we propose adding something called cache register on traditional RISC chip, and in the background of a compiler we manufactured for a new RISC chip, an optimized strategy of register allocation related to cache register is given. The experiment results show that the effect of this optimization is evident.
