摘    要:自适应视相关LOD简化算法是目前仿真和虚拟现实中研究的热点,它不同于以前的简化技术,将地形作为一个整体进行简化,而是针对视点的位置,对地形的局部进行简化.该文主要讨论该算法的原理、节点评价函数、算法流程和实现技术,解决了多分辨率地形网格拼接中的裂缝问题.并将该算法首次用于三维雷达终端显示器仿真系统中,大大提高了该仿真系统的实时绘制能力,有效地解决了该系统的实时绘制和硬件发展限制之间的矛盾,并取得了良好的实验效果.

Abstract:An algorithm of adaptive view - dependent LOD simplification is a research focus in the emulation and virtual reality at present. It is different from the former simplification teehnolgy which simplifies the terrain as a whole. It simplifies the local terrain in view of the visual point. In this paper, the principle, value function of a node, algorithm flow and realized tehnology of the algorithm for adaptive view - dependent LOD simplification are discussed. The problem of cracks among joins of multi - resolution terrain meshes is resolved effectivly. The algorithm is applied in three - dimensional emulational system of radar terminal displays first, and the real - time rendering ability is improved largely, and the contradiction between the limitation of hardware development and real - time rendering of the emulational system is resolved effectively. And a good result is got.
