Abstract:Grid is the next generation Internet, and it is the emphasis of current network research.Grid resource allocation is a very important part of Grid, and grid resource has some characteristic such as distributed, heterogeneous, dynamic, owned by different organization and has different use, access and consume model,so it belongs to qualitative category.Traditional grid resource allocation strategy can't effectively allocate qualitative grid resource, and easy to make network vase-neck come into being.Cloud model is an uncertain model based on transition between qualitative and quantitative, and it can transform qualitative grid resource to quantitative expression. So this paper proposes a new grid resource allocation strategy,it applies cloud model to grid resource allocation to mapping qualitative grid resource to some quantitative changeable different drops, and then cooperates with some relative mature algorithms or models that have been researched currently to allocate resource.Experiments show that the new strategy can evaluate grid resource more exactly and can achieve grid resource allocation more effectively.
Keywords:cloud model  Grid  resource allocation
