| Abstract: | The data of lightning stroke on the main building of Central China Electric Power Administration Bureau (CCPEAB) are analyzed, the most data are ascending strokes, so it cannot be regard as the prover of the current limitation. It is expounded and proved that when flashover occurs, an arc discharge will happen and the current limitation effect of the semiconductor lightning eliminator will be failed. The semiconductor lightning eliminator is still a technique being studied. |
