摘    要:近年来电压稳定问题已经成为电网安全运行的一项重大挑战,新型调相机和STATCOM因其优异的电压支撑能力而受到越来越多的关注。本文首先简单介绍了新型调相机和STATCOM的基本原理和特性。接着,从应对系统电压跌落、电压骤升和对短路电流的影响3个方面对这两种无功补偿设备进行了技术性比较,根据比较结果从技术性角度给出了不同应用场景下无功补偿设备的选择建议。最后,文章采用等年值法对比了新型调相机和链式STATCOM的经济性,并从经济性角度给出了不同应用场景下无功补偿设备的选择建议。

Abstract:Recently the issue of voltage stability has become a major challenge for the safe operation of the power grid. The new generation synchronous condenser and STATCOM are receiving more and more attention due to their excellent voltage support capabilities.This paper first briefly introduces the basic principles and characteristics of the new generation synchronous condenser and STATCOM.Then,these two types of reactive power compensation equipment are compared technically from three aspects: coping with system voltage sag,voltage surge,and impact on short-circuit current. Based on the comparison results,the reactive power compensation equipment choice suggestion in different application scenarios are given from a technical perspective. Finally,the paper compares the economics of the new generation synchronous condenser and the chained STATCOM using the isochronic method,and gives suggestions for the selection of reactive power compensation equipment in different application scenarios from the perspective of economics.
