Soft Measuring Technology and its Application to Thermal Power Plants

Many important parameters which will influence the operation safety and economy of thermal power plant can＇t be measured on-time. But soft measuring technology can be used to substitute software for hardware （sensor） through the mathematical relationship set between primary variables hard to be measured and auxiliary variables easy to be measured. The basic way of the soft measuring technology are being introduced, while a general theory of soft measuring model and the way of model setting put forward. Moreover, an introduction is presented to the application of the soft measuring technology to the thermal control in a fossil-fired power plant with examples.
