Abstract:There are a large number of low smoke zero halogen wires and cables and their raw materials in our industry.Need to determine the specific optical density of smoke generated by these products.The density of smoke generated by a specimen was determined under the specified exposure conditions.Values determined by a test method are not to be considered inherent fundamental properties of the specimen.Values determined by different test methods are not same.The new edition of standard GB/T 8323—2008 is different with the old edition GB/T 8323—1987.The standard GB/T 17651—1998(IEC 61034—1997) is different with UL 2556—2007(9.9).The report describes these differences.
