基于铌酸锂光子线的马赫-曾德干涉仪调制器

摘    要:设计一种基于铌酸锂(LiNbO3,LN)的马赫-曾德(Mach-Zehnder)干涉仪光电调制器。采用基于有限元法的电磁仿真软件对该器件进行优化和特性的仿真分析,得到了结构尺寸紧凑、输出调制光透射率随外加输入电压在较大范围呈线性变化,以及在工作波长变化较大的范围内具有较稳定透射率的设计结果。

Abstract:A Mach-Zehnder interferometer optical modulator based on Lithium niobate (LiNb03, abbreviated as LN) photonic wires is obtained in this paper. Its structure size parameters and characterization are optimally de tromagnetic simulation software signed and analyzed respectively, b that based on the finite element me y using the commercial elec thod. Three main results are obtained. First, it has compact size. Second, a good linear relationship between the output light transmittance of the device and the in within a large scale. Third, it has sta put ble voltage applied on the interferometer arm is confirmed effect of the changes of the operating light wavelength upon the changes of transmittance of the output light.
