| Abstract: | Product data management (PDM) is one of core techniques for the advanced manufacture technique. It provides an integrate and product oriented manager for enterprises that apply the computer aided technology widely. The background and research contents of PDM are described in this paper firstly. The main functions and structure model of PDM system are then presented. Finally, the key techniques of PDM including product database, integrate tools, the flexibility of the system and the conformity of product information are discussed. |
