There are about & varieties of fluoro-fibers that have been marketed, most ofthem have good temperature resistance, chemical resistance, non-adherence, hydrophobicity, low friction coefficient, good electric insulation etc. Among them the polytetrafluoroethylen(PPTA)fiber,tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer(FEP)fiber,tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroethylenealkoxy ether copolymer fiber(PTA)andethylene-tertrafluoroethylene copolymer(ETFE)fiber are more used in the market.Thereare some difficulties in their preparation,emulsion spinning,film slitting,pastespinning,melt extrusion and wet spinning method are generally used.The applications ofthese fibers are in fabrics and knit fabrics for apparel,sport goods,upholstery fabrics forbuilding,medical goods and many industrial uses.
