Abstract:Based on the electrodeposition of fluorine-containing hydroxyapatite(FHA) ceramics,a FHA/nano-TiO2 composite coating was obtained by co-electrodeposition on Ti surface after addition of nano-TiO2 to electrolyte.The FHA/nano-TiO2 coatings were treated by vacuum sintering and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),infrared spectroscopy(IR),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The dissolution resistance of the composite coating in citrate-phosphate buffer and its adhesion were compared with HA and FHA coatings.The results showed that the preferred crystal orientation of FHA/nano-TiO2 composite is changed by vacuum sintering and the crystal shape varies from needle-type to granular-type.The combination of nano-TiO2 particles remarkably improves the adhesion of FHA coating to Ti substrate,but slightly affects its dissolution resistance.
