Preparation of Dealcoholized RTV-1 Silicone Rubber

Usingα,ω-dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane(107 silicone rubber)as the base material,aminosilane JT-908 as the end-capping agent,adding fumed silica,cross-linking agent and silane coupling agent,the dealcoholized RTV silicone rubber was prepared.the effects of the amount of end-capping agent and fumed silica,the type and amount of catalyst,and the type of silane coupling agent on the properties of the silicone rubber were studied.The results show that the preferred end-capping agent is 4 phr,the fumed silica is 10 phr,the preferned catalyst of dibutyltin dilaurate is 0.1 phr,the silane coupling agent isγ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane.The silicone rubber prepared under the above conditions has a surface dry time of 15 min,a Shore hardness of 24 A,a tensile strength of 1.41 MPa,an elongation at break of 362%,and a shear strength of 1.38 MPa.
