Discussion On the Faults of the Strip Blocked and Piled Up in the Compact Strip Plant

The main fault characteristics of the hot rolled strip blocked and piled up in the CSP (Compact strip plant) of Zhujiang Steel Co.,Ltd are introduced. From the aspects of casting and rolling technology, mechanical equipment, controlling system and as well as metallography, the cause for blocked and piled up are discussed. Confirm that production parameter setting in rolling, faults in mechanical equipment and controlling systems, limitation of products capacity of equipment and the quality of strip casting billet will result in rolled strip blocked or piled up and the methods to deal with the faults are put forward.
