Polarization independent wavelength conversion using fiberfour-wave mixing with two orthogonal pump lights of differentfrequencies

This paper describes polarization independent wavelength conversion, utilizing fiber four-wave mixing. By using two orthogonal pump lights having different frequencies, the baseband signal of the wavelength converted light is insensitive to the polarization state of the original signal light.
