EDFA对基孤子脉冲进行压缩与放大的数值研究

摘    要:从描述光脉冲在掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)中传输的非线性薛定谔方程出发,对基孤子脉冲在EDFA中的压缩与放大进行了数值研究,并对孤子脉冲在其中的压缩提出优化方案。结果表明,通过合理地选择EDFA的参数,可使无啁啾的基孤子脉冲实现绝热压缩和放大;对具有初始啁啾的基孤子脉冲,压缩过程将不再满足绝热条件;对于正啁啾的基孤子脉冲,可得到较好的压缩与放大;而对于负啁啾的基孤子脉冲,压缩效果却较差。

Abstract:Starting from the nonlinear Schrdinger equation describing the pulse propagation in erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA),the compression and amplification of fundamental soliton pulse using EDFA are investigated numerically,and the optimum schemes for soliton pulse compression are proposed.The results show that:for the fundamental soliton pulse without the chirp,the pulse can be compressed and amplified adiabatically by selecting appropriate parameters of erbium-doped fibers;for the chirped fundamental soliton pulse,the process of the compression and amplification is not satisfied adiabatical condition;the effective compression and amplification can be obtained for the positive chirped fundamental soliton pulse,but the compression effect for the negative chirped fundamental soliton pulse is poor.
