共聚物基质固体染料激光介质的特性

摘    要:聚合物基质光学均匀性好、对抽运光和染料激光透过率高、与染料分子相容性好、制备简单、成本低。制备了吡咯甲川567(1, 3, 5, 7, 8-pentamethyl-2, 6-diethylpyrromethene-BF2,PM567)掺杂的以甲基丙烯酸甲酯(methyl methacrylate, MMA)和甲基丙烯酸-β-羟乙酯(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, HEMA)的共聚物为基质的固体染料激光介质,研究了(HEMAMMA)对介质特性的影响。利用10 Hz重频调Q的Nd:YAG的倍频光纵向抽运固体染料激光介质,研究了介质的输出特性。介质的抽运阈值小于10 mJ/cm2,HEMA含量存在一个使得介质的斜率效率达到最高的最佳值。在HEMA体积分数为25%的介质中得到最高的斜率效率56.2%。以10 Hz重频,脉冲能量17.5 mJ(能量密度为0.02 J/cm2)调Q的Nd:YAG的倍频光纵向抽运固体染料介质,V(HEMA)V(MMA)=1:1的介质经约123000个抽运光脉冲后,输出下降为初始输出的一半,归一化的光稳定性为10.8 GJ/mol。

Solid State Dye Laser Based on Copolymer of Methyl Methacrylate with 2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate
Abstract:Polymers are a kind of attractive hosts for laser dyes with advantages such as superior optical homogeneity, high transparency in pumping and lasing range, good chemical compatibility with organic dyes, easy control of the chemical process, low cost, and so on. PM567-doped solid dye samples based on copolymer of methyl methacrylate (MMA) with 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) were prepared. The influence of the volume percentage of HEMA on the properties of solid dye samples was studied. Pumping the samples longitudinally with the second harmonic generation (SHG) of Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at the pulse rate of 10 Hz, the output properties were studied. The lasing threshold was lower than 10 mJ/cm2. There was an optimal volume ratio of MMA to HEMA for the highest slope efficiency. And the highest efficiency 56.2% was obtained in the sample with volume ratio 1:1. The photostability of samples was studied through pumping the samples by 17.5 mJ/pulse (the fluence was 0.02 J/cm2) at 10 Hz repetition rate. The useful lifetime of 123000 shots was obtained before the output fell to half of its initial value, and normalized stability was 10.8 GJ/mol.
