The Analysis on the Effects of Internet of Things onSmart City Construction

The new technology revolution represented by the internet of things has brought new opportunities to the construct of the smart city. The Internet of things is deemed to be the key mechanism to the construct of smart city. This paper firstly discusses the concept and characteristics of smart city, and the concept and framework of the Internet of things. Then the relationship between the Internet of things and smart city construction has been analyzed. Furthermore, this paper illustrates the effects of the Internet of things on smart city construction from the perspective of urban core systems.
