摘    要:综述了碳纳米管材料当前的研究状况、独特性质及其应用潜力,对碳纳米管材料的制备技术进行了简单介绍,详细说明了碳纳米管场致发射显示器的工作原理和制作技术、方法,讨论了碳纳米管材料在各种应用领域中的巨大应用前景,包括高强度复合材料、微机械、信息存储、纳米电子器件、平板场致发射显示器以及碳纳米管微操作等。利用碳纳米管材料制作的平板显示器具有优越的视觉性能,而且可以极大地降低生产成本。

Abstract:The state of the art of the current research for carbon nanotube materials and their ability for field emitters and other devices are reviewed.The fabrication technology of carbon nanotube materials,including DC arc discharge method and pyrolysis method is given.The operating principle,fabrication process and technology of flat field emission display with carbon nan otube as cold-cathode materials are also presented.The recent advances made in application technology of carbon nanotube ma terials are discussed,including high strength composite materials,micro-mechanical,information storage,nano-electronic device,flat field emission display and carbon nanotube manipulation.The tremendous progress would be achieved in the future as the information display field continues to develop at the pre sent pace.The field emission display with carbon nanotube emitters exhibits superior visual performance,and represent a significant reduction in manufacturing cost with simple screen-printing process.The unique carbon nanotube materials would offer the most promising route to achieving this goal for the reality of attractive flat field emission display.
