| Abstract: | The paper makes a comprehensive comparison between two kinds of arrangement of motor cars and trailers in a six-car metro train, that is, 3 motor cars and 3 trailers vs. 4 motor cars and 2 trailers, from the respects of traction and brake performance, traveling speed and number of cars, capability of rescue and operation with malfunction, maintenance work and purchase of cars. |
